16 Months

I've been overweight all my life and one day, about 16 months ago, I reluctantly stepped onto the scale and to my big surprise I had gone down from about 108kg (238lb) to 102kg (224lb). I was overjoyed. I had struggled with weight loss in the past but now I had to give it my all, I didn't want to gain back any weight again.

I had unknowingly been eating in a deficit for a few months prior, I remember skipping lunch in school on some days and sometimes I would skip breakfast and wait until lunch in school instead, I'm not condoning skipping meals but I want to share what I did. After my discovery I started going on daily walks, they weren't intense or anything but they were just there because it made me feel healthy. I didn't go on a specific diet, really, I just tried to reduce my intake of sodas, candies, chips, you name it, I also tried to eat less overall, I did not count any calories or track my macros or anything like that, I just did what I thought would work and it did. I recently hit a plateau so now I have changed my method a little bit, I am currently doing 16/8 intermittent fasting 4-5 days a week and I'm also following a low-carb high-fat diet and during my eating windows I am to eat around 1400 calories since my bmr is about 1800 calories. I also lift 5lb dumbbells 4-5 times a week and I am also doing HIIT during my walks instead of just steady pace walking.

Fast forward 16 months and here I am at around 78kg (172lbs) compared to when I was at my heaviest when I was 15, back then I weighed in at around 115kg (254lbs). My end goal is to reach a weight of 70kg (154) but my progress has steadily been getting slower the more weight I lost and from what I gather, this is perfectly normal since I don't burn as many calories as I did when I was at my heaviest. I am very happy with the majority of my body, I want to flatten out my lower abdomen and maybe reduce my love handles which I don't mind that much but it'd be nice regardless.

The first picture is me when I first started documenting my journey, in it I weigh 102kg (224lbs) and the other picture is one I took today with a weight of about 78kg (172lbs). I don't have a lot left to lose but I want to be able to stop obsessing over my belly.

Actually, now that I look at it, imgur flipped the order of my images. The one on top is from today and the one on bottom is from basically when I started my journey.
