When trying to eat healthier, I am very good with portion control, adding lots of veggies to every meal, limiting carbs... but there is one problem.
I am literally addicted to sugar.
I have tried just not having sugary foods in the house, but when I get a craving, I will eat anything that has sugar it in. No cookies/cakes available? I'll eat several huge spoonfuls of peanut butter. No more peanut butter? I'll throw a few spoons of sugar on some cereal. No more cereal? I just eat raw sugar from the box. I have even gotten to the point where I drink spoonfuls of maple syrup by itself.
I can't tell if it's the sweetness or the actual sugar that I'm addicted to, but I need help! My weight loss is at a stand-still because of it :(
