Like many people, I lost weight before the pandemic. Since March 2020, I gained that weight back +10 more pounds. I watched myself grow pound by pound, but I made excuses: it's water weight from gaining muscle, my period just started or even that milkshakes were the only vacation we were getting in 2020, so I deserved it. Basically, I moved less and ate more.
As I try to talk myself into weight-loss mode, I'm deflated. Back to counting calories. Back to eating mainly vegetables and proteins. And realizing that this is a never-ending journey where I can't keep potato chips or peanut butter in the house.
Does it ever get easier? Or even ... somewhat enjoyable?
