Hey there r/loseit! I believe i'm a lurker of the sub (I may have posted a comment or two, I don't remember), but I'm kind of stagnated my weight loss for the moment.
Right now, I feel like I'm not as satisfied as I should be. And, it's because I'm not. On June 18th this year, I said by the time the first show night of my theater (I do high school theater), I'll be 220lbs. Well, that date is a month away, and I'm unhappy with myself.
I am a 17 y/o male with my starting weight being 268.0lbs, and my current weight is 239.8lbs. That number does fluctuate up by a pound or two throughout the week, which I am unhappy about. It's a bad feeling knowing that I am still fat, and will be for the show. I worked hard, but have gotten discouraged recently due to School, Theater, my relationship, and me working less.
What I did to lose the weight was to simply eat less, and eat better. Instead of eating 2 2x hotpocket packets, I ate one for a lunch. I drank Diet Coke instead of Mountain Dew, I didn't eat as many chips, rejected offers for deserts, and more, which felt good.
But, those temptations hit, and I've been eating more junk food, more snacks, and having less consistent meals. It's an unhealthy lifestyle that I want to change.
For exercise, I work for Target, pushing carts outside most of the day. I would end the day with my arse being so sweaty, it went through my pants. I was working hard, and often so I was getting good exersice. (It isn't uncommon for me to get 20k steps in a 5-6 hour shift there. I'm doing heavy pushing, and always on my feet)
What're some good weight loss tips you guys have? I know I won't be able to lose nearly 20lbs in a month, but I would love to be at least in the 22x's by the show date. Thank you for the help!
