Why do I self sabotage?

Hi all,

A few years ago I was at the largest I had ever been at 210lbs, with a lot of hard work I went down to 164lbs and felt amazing.

I slipped back into old habits and at the beginning of this year I weighed almost 250lbs. I’m absolutely miserable about my weight and it got to the point (before COVID19) where I didn’t want to leave the house because I was so embarrassed of how I looked. I’m desperate to lose weight and become healthy again.

I currently weigh 217lbs but each week I find myself spending two or three days a week eating pizza or ordering takeaways. I can’t help myself, I feel incredibly guilty for it. It’s almost as if I reward myself for loosing weight so I eat everything in sight. I feel like I’m sabotaging myself by eating so much after a small weight loss. It means I gain it back and have to start again.

Has anyone else had this problem? Have you got tips on how to overcome this?
