The word "snack".

"Snack"

What does that word conjure up for you? Has it changed over the course of your weight loss journey?

I ask because I've seen quite a few off-hand comments in other subreddits or other website refering to a sandwich as a snack. Or a burger as a snack.

Growing up a sandwich or burger was a meal, it wasn't something to have between them. A snack was an apple, or a candy bar. Though the word was rarely used.

I wondered if this is a more modern thing, one of those subtle changes in perception which inadvertently encourages people to underestimate the energy/calories in such a thing.

So what does "snack" mean to you, and has it changed?
