I've struggled losing weight for six years now and while I have lost around 50lbs in that time, I'm still about 40lbs away from my goal. I know how to lose weight, I know way too much actually and yet have never managed to really establish healthy routines long term. My weight loss has always been a few months at a time of serious effort and then crashing afterwards and regaining a third or half what I had just lost.
I'm so sick and tired of this cycle but I just can't get myself out of it. For a few months now I've been thinking of getting a coach, mainly for the accountability and to force me to follow a sane program and learn healthy habits that will help me in the long run.
I've reached out to a coach that I like who offers meal plans, training plans and most importantly weekly 1:1 meetings for accountability, feedback or to make changes to the plan. He's also available to chat every day.
Now my question is, does anyone have experience with coaching like this and how did it help you? Did it change things for you instead of doing it on your own? Were you more successful? Did you manage to reach your goal weight? Please share your experiences 🙏
