Wedding weight loss

I have a year to go til my wedding and have always struggled with my weight. To date I’ve tried 5:2 and fasting but always end up with terrible migraines. I’m currently trying Noom to focus myself but find CICO challenging (I’m certain I over estimate portions and find it difficult if it’s not something with nutritional advice on a label) especially when eating non packaged foods, stuff made from scratch. I know I have some work to do around emotional eating which I’m working on. Would I be better to go full on militant and weigh/measure every single thing or take a different approach like keto or something else? Should I work out? I used to swim but haven’t due to I’ll health and then lockdown. I really want to fit in a certain size dress as it’s the only one within my budget so I figure I have a couple of stone to lose but want to start some habits that will go beyond to keep my weight more even longer term. Any advice, words of wisdom or encouragement gratefully received!
