[study] I always thought these were good weight loss tips.

I just read this article.

Those tips for eating less were a large part of my weight loss plan, (particularly using smaller plates) though I also used CICO. Now I'm wondering how much was me just conflating my CICO success with what I thought was scientific research. I mean, I know these studies were in every woman's magazine out there, but that just meant they were popular, not wrong.

As a scientist myself, I'm appaled at his lack of ethics, and as someone who lost weight I'm sad about how many people have tried using these tips, and didn't get any help from them.
