You don’t have to wait for a new month to join in! You are always welcome!
Here in this post, we aim to foster a supportive, caring place to discuss the actual day to day of deficits & counting & caring so much about how we fuel our bodies & lives.
So, post how your goals for this month are going in the comments below! I’ll post mine below too, so don’t be shy!
October 11 is World Obesity Day. Such a tough topic. I’m obese still. I will be for a while longer yet. It can complicate my health and wellness. It has also garnered so much judgement that at times, it has made my life more difficult, even when I am fighting tooth and nail to improve and not be obese. It is important to remember even on this journey to lose mass that we are more than the number on the scale. Life is more than a weight loss journey, and it is okay to be obese.
And I know this is a hot take, but it is also okay to be obese & not be on some over hyped “weight loss journey” with all the bells and whistles and fanfare that becomes your whole identity. It is okay to just be here striving for a better you than a previous version of you, and both are still fat (it’s possible I’m talking to myself now). Big changes do not start big. They start small and simple and sustainable.
Sorry, that was a long one. Love y’all, take kind care of yourself and keep kicking ass.
