I've always been oveweight, but in graduate school I gained about 20 pounds and have a very small frame (4'11) so it inherently looks like a lot more than it is. This February, I was up to 172 pounds. Through CICO, a lot of working out, and watching everything I eat I am down to 148. This is almost 30 pounds, which I am definitely proud of, but it's really hard feeling like no one is noticing. I see friends in a socially-distant way, but no one has noticed. Only my parents who say I look healthier.
I know the contentment should not have to come for external validation, but it's really frustrating feeling like no one is noticing my weight loss. How do you all cope with it or navigate it?
