At what point in your weight loss did you start to see the change?

I’m 12 weeks into my new life and I’ve lost 11lbs. It’s not as much as I’d hoped but I’m focusing more on changing my habits and thought process rather than the actual number. I also have PCOS and agoraphobia so weight loss is a huge challenge. My goal is to lose 100lbs over all. I’ve been 225lbs for the last 8 years with almost no change (up or down) so I’ve looked the same for years.

Anyways, I know 11lbs isn’t really enough to change my body shape but I’m really looking forward to the day I can look in the mirror and see the change, that will be a huge milestone for me. At what point in your weight loss did you see the difference? I take my measurements every 2 weeks and haven’t seen any notable change yet but I’m only 10% of my goal.

120+lb weight loss. Minimal difference in alcohol tolerance. Science on why?

I have lost 126-132 lbs in the last 13.5 months (depends on water weight for the day). Im a female 5'4" 31yrs old. High weight 267lbs, CW 138lbs (ish).

At my high weight I was borderline alcoholic. Drinking 1600 Cals per day of wine or spirits. So easily 6+ "drinks" per day.

Cold turkey, good diet, lots of exercise, huge weight loss.

Decided to have a few drinks at home with friends the other night. But I realized something. I TRACKED EVERYTHING as has become my religion these days lol

And I drank the same 6 drinks as I would have at 260lbs..and had basically the same alcohol tolerance. I was NOT plastered off my ass. My companions all corroborate that it was just a chill night with nobody causing drunk drama.

What the heck? How is it scientifically possible for me to weight almost half as much as I used to, yet not notice a HUGE difference in my alcohol tolerance?

Is it because I drank everyday at my high weight, nearly or actually alcoholic?

Im looking for actual science here not bro science lol

Edited to add...

I was curious about tolerance during this evening of drinks, so I payed attention to how a glass of diet coke with 2x 1.5oz shots in it made me feel compared to my heaviest. I made sure to be a buzzkill and track every bite of food, I definitely less than half the calories as I used to at my heavy weight when drinking. I planned my 700 cakorie meal, 200 calorie snack ( if needed), and stuck to it.

But I truly felt negligible difference in intoxication

Eating Exercise Calories Back for Maintenance and/or surplus

I’ve looked for this specific Q on a handful of forums but can’t seem to find it answered. Usually when it comes to “eating back exercise” calories, it’s discussed in the context of losing weight and having a deficit.

I’m just about where I want to be in terms of weight loss - never counted or ate back exercise calories - and am looking at next steps.

So my question is, when you’re working on maintenance for a specific weight or for having a caloric surplus for building muscle, do you eat back your exercise calories?

Logically, to me, the answer would be yes.

But Also, I know calories burned at estimates that can’t be counted on. With that in mind, how do you personally work on maintenance and surplus?

As an aside: have any of yall used Lose It for surplus tracking?

Weight loss for someone who’s finally admitting they’re obese

So I’ve always been big. As a toddler, my parents never fed me properly, so I never really learned how I should be eating, and I’ve always been quite a bit over weight no matter what age, but I never considered myself obese. I’m trying to take accountability and be an adult and realize I can’t use my childhood as a crutch anymore as to why I was obese. But I am, and I have been. I always thought it “wasn’t that bad” but it is. I’m a college student with a full time job and I’m struggling. I don’t have the mental capacity to cook everyday, as my mental health is something I work on too. I’m a 24f about 5’3” and 245lbs. Where do I start? Any recommendations on foods like the frozen stuff at Trader Joe’s that doesn’t require a ton of prep work? I can cook on the weekends, but week days are just too much. I can consider some meal preps, but I’m not sure how it would go. Mainly dinners, but honestly ideas for all three. Lunches I need on the go because I work 10 hours a day and my only break is driving from one clients house to another house. Please help, from someone starting from literally nothing.

Should I Take Creatine?

I (26M, 5'8", SW255, CW233, GWsub-180) have been doing CICO since the beginning of this October and I'm already down a tiny bit over 20 pounds since then. Additionally, I started the primer workout routine from r/bodyweightfitness a couple of weeks later.

I've made a very robust spreadsheet and it estimates that I can hit my GW by June next year. However, I'm more interested in having a fit/healthy body than just hitting my goal weight and I've taken to practicing better fitness habits since starting to count calories.

Anyways, I wanted to ask if anyone here knows if taking creatine monohydrate sped up their weight loss (after the initial water retention of using it) and if just a low daily dose would help in my long term goal of recomp-ing.

I'm not looking for a shortcut or anything, I've just read that it's supposedly a wonder supplement with a dozen or more researched benefits. Is it worth it for non-athletes and gym-goers?

Edited to add more of my info^
