Lose the weight !!

Trust me will be the best thing you do. Can't believe the way my 41kg weight loss has changed my life in the last year. My mental health has improved, I can fit back into my clothes I got too big for, I'm happier, I have built alot of self belief and discipline which has improved all aspects of my life. Because I lost the weight it's made me feel I can do anything I put my mind to. No crazy diet or exercise just a calorie defict, lots of walking and recently started lifting weights to build muscle. I've been able to eat out for one meal every weekend and maintain my weight loss I can eat all my favorite foods and maintain my weight loss. Because I've built the habits and routines. Losing weight I wasn't perfect everyday. I didn't get all my steps in some days, I binged some days, I went over my calories but I just got back on track the next day because consistency is more important than perfection ! Really is life changing. For anyone else out thete wanting to lose weight I know it's hard but you can do it !

How to stop feeling lightheaded?

hi everyone i’m 23 years old female i’ve been losing weight now for the past 2 years, I was 115kg at the start of my weight loss journey. In July, this year my weight was at 70.3kg almost hitting my 69kg mark!

I have gastritis which affects my eating, so with my diet I only have:

Breakfast: Three small poached eggs on sourdough bread

Lunch: a Bio health greek style yoghurt pot

Dinner: I have homemade meals which the limit was between 272kcals to 300kcals.

I also did a lot of walking on top doing at least 15k steps to 17k steps and on occasions do 20-21k steps if feeling up to it. I did lose overall 33kg I believe?

On weekends friday to sunday, I did little to no walking and literally had my cheat days.

Anyway in july I randomly passed out, the second i hit my 69kg mark. I was completely bed bounded for a whole month, whenever i moved it felt like i was on a rollercoaster, my head was so heavy. And overall generally really weak. Constantly kept passing out, I did some bloods test and my iron levels were slightly out of range. But took iron tablets and all fine. But during that time I did bump up my food intake, (just incase it was that) making my weight jump to 77kg (current weight its at now)

I’m trying to lose the weight again but have slightly more food in my diet this time.

by that i have my usual breakfast, and swapping out the bio yoghurt with a sandwich, have a smoothie which contains strawberries, rasberries, banana, oat milk, greek style yoghurt and protein powder, and having my regular 272kcals (along with a dessert which is a 172kcal apple crumble) my calories intake fluctuates between 1,400-1,500. But for the past 14 days I’ve been doing between 11k - 17k steps

However during my diet for example when i eat at 9am for my breakfast, i start to get light headed and shaky at 11am then at 3pm i literally rush home from uni to have my dinner at dead on 4pm because i would start to get shaky and light headed (last time i passed out again) i have had bloods done again and everything is fine and have been taking multivitamins which has iron included

it sucks because after i have my dinner at 4pm and try and not eat until the next day my body genuinely feels so weak that i cant move from my bed, i can hear my own heart rate, my heart goes to 98bpm to 100bpm and i get so shaky that my body goes into panic mode. And I don’t know how to stop that?

like if you guys get light headed how do you guys stop that without snacking? I’m trying to train my body so i can have poached eggs at 9am wait to have lunch at 12pm - 1pm then have dinner at 6pm. And I’m trying to train my body not to go into panic mode if i dont eat.

Weight loss help?

Hello community,

I am a below knee left leg amputee. I’ve been working on a weight loss journey since June. I’ve had successful results doing keto while also being highly active with my work once before. That was over 2 years ago. Just around the time of March-May, I clocked in at my heaviest. 190lbs, 5’2”, 27 year old male. Today I weighed in at 164lbs. My workout consist of at least 2 miles outdoor walk everyday (with sweat suit), incline for a mile at max incline, at 2.0-2.5 speed, and now I’m trying to start lifting weights with dumbbells and home bench. My daily caloric intake, I usually try to stay under 1200 calories.

Around the month of September, I’ve had severe foot pain around my lateral metatarsal heads (I have a varus foot deformity, so most of my weight is compensated on that lateral side of my sound feet). Due to this, I was told to lay off of using treadmill for incline by my podiatrist. I’m still walking everyday, trying to reach my daily caloric needs… but I want to do more.

I just want to know what you all can suggest for me to lose more weight. Sometimes I feel like I am a standstill with little to no results.. I want to be at least 140-145lbs by the end of the year. Would you recommend this for me, and if so, what can I do to make it happen?

Has anyone gone on medication and what habits helped you stay consistent?

I was recently prescribed Vyvanse for binge eating and adhd. They work together. I’m working with a weight loss clinic there’s medication, a physician, dietitian meetings monthly over seen by the physician and therapy all in one. It’s a godsend. I started medication today and it’s been lovely for both the adhd and binge eating. My body actually told me that it was hungry and usually I beat myself to it. I am realizing though that routines will be the thing that makes this venture into weight loss with medication successful. So what habits have you developed to keep yourself on track?

Like do you have a bed time routine for when the meds are starting to wear off? Do you meal prep? Do you try to do specific things before you take your meds? I’m doing cico as specific diets are really damaging for me mentally.

when do YOU start to see it?

hi everyone! i hope this is an okay question to ask here. i’ve been on a weight loss journey for the last year and gone from 202lb to 174lb at my last weigh-in. (20f if it helps!) and even with the numbers showing progress, i feel like i look exactly the same. i know there’s a mental delay when it comes to weight loss because you see it so slowly and people will comment sooner than you’ll notice, but i was wondering when the moment was for other people that they were able to see a difference in themselves?

Sweet treats are my Achilles heel

Every time I have tried to lose weight I’ve failed. Except for once, I lost 44lbs in 3 months doing keto. Then I gained it all back… and then some. Smh.

Sweet treats are my ultimately my undoing.

Started my weight loss journey about a month ago for probably the 10th time. Started rucking and taking Zepound. I’ve lost 11 lbs. proud of that. My birthday was last Friday the 26th and I only had one slice of cake. Also proud of that. Usually would have 2-3 maybe 4 slices lol.

Used to house 12-20 nestle tollhouse cookies in one sitting. Embarrassing. I also not it’s not good for me to cut out sweets entirely cause that will cause me to unravel and then binge. The zepbound helps with binging/cravings tbh.

Idk where I’m going with this just seeing if anyone can relate.

Angry that I didn't find out sooner

My whole life I was under the impression that I would never be able to lose weight because I wasn't strong enough to stick to only healthy foods like salad (that I hate) and give up the foods I actually enjoy eating. If only I had known that you simply need to cut your portions and that naturally kinda leads you to making better choices like eating less calorie dense foods, working out, and replacing sugary drinks with more water... I would have spared myself from a lot of heartache, frustrations with myself, and major insecurity.

I honestly curse all those weight-loss adverts I grew up seeing that were largely just shitty fads that aren't sustainable. I wish the media was flooded with CICO as the best weight loss method instead. It's free and easy to start any time you want. But of course that wouldn't make anyone any money so I see why I didn't find out about CICO until I happened to stumble across it on Reddit decades later.
