Hello community,
I am a below knee left leg amputee. I’ve been working on a weight loss journey since June. I’ve had successful results doing keto while also being highly active with my work once before. That was over 2 years ago. Just around the time of March-May, I clocked in at my heaviest. 190lbs, 5’2”, 27 year old male. Today I weighed in at 164lbs. My workout consist of at least 2 miles outdoor walk everyday (with sweat suit), incline for a mile at max incline, at 2.0-2.5 speed, and now I’m trying to start lifting weights with dumbbells and home bench. My daily caloric intake, I usually try to stay under 1200 calories.
Around the month of September, I’ve had severe foot pain around my lateral metatarsal heads (I have a varus foot deformity, so most of my weight is compensated on that lateral side of my sound feet). Due to this, I was told to lay off of using treadmill for incline by my podiatrist. I’m still walking everyday, trying to reach my daily caloric needs… but I want to do more.
I just want to know what you all can suggest for me to lose more weight. Sometimes I feel like I am a standstill with little to no results.. I want to be at least 140-145lbs by the end of the year. Would you recommend this for me, and if so, what can I do to make it happen?
