Life can still happen, don't get discouraged.

I'm been working on my weight since the start of the year, I started off at 300lbs and have been on a steady path down. My job is physical so I wanted to be sure I was getting what I needed and still able to burn fat, while there been a few bumps I've been taking off a pound or so a week and it takes off and I feel good. While no weight loss is a straight line I've been so happy with the progress. I'm down to 253 and when I started I bought a belt that had notches all the way around so I could use it the whole time and have another metric, I started on notch 3 and am now on notch 9. I wasn't planning on making a post about it until the end of the year. Now to the title, last Friday my father went to the hospital and do to the current locations of the rest of my family I was the only one who could be there when needed, between the stress lack of sleep and just eating what I could when I could I'm up 6lbs. My dad is home and now it's time to get back to work, there is a good chance old me would have used this as an excuse to give up. As much physical work it takes to get healthy the biggest hurdle in my opinion is mental, we can be both our worst critic and best support. When we get knock down we pick ourselves back up and keep moving forward (I think that was from Rocky). Am I bummed about the set back? Sure but I'm not done yet.
