Nutrafol during weight loss journey?

I’m curious to know if anyone has avoided hair loss during your weight loss journey by taking Nutrafol at the same time as you are losing weight? I’ve gone through a few weight loss journeys myself and have lost a significant amount of hair each time (even while losing at a slow and steady pace, tracking macros, etc). I’m trying to get in front of the hair loss this time by taking Nutrafol during my weight loss journey and was curious if anyone has done the same and not suffered from as much hair loss? I know it can help after the fact, but was curious from a more preventative standpoint.

Thanks!

Am I losing weight too slowly?

My SW on July 1st (of this year) was 202.3 lbs. Being over 200 lbs is what motivated me to start really trying to lose weight. I am now down to 195.4 lbs, but this feels incredibly slow. I did the math and since this is about 7 lbs lost over 11 weeks, that accounts for ~0.6 lbs/week. I was originally aiming for 1 lb/week and 0.4lbs less a week really adds up over time.

For context I'm 5'9 F, currently aiming for ~1600 kcals/day, with Friday and Saturday set a bit higher at ~1900 kcals/day. I'm in my late 20's and this gives me wiggle room when going out with friends on the weekends. My GW is 150 lbs and after only losing 7lbs in almost 3 months this feels so far away. I don't do too much weight training due to chronic pain and it tending to cause flare ups, so my protein goal is set at 90g/day and fiber at 23g/day. I have been moving my body more in general though with walks, smart hooping, etc. I'm not perfect like any human and these are ideals, and while I don't hit them every day I usually get pretty close.

Has anyone else had really slow weight loss or is it normal to just lose 0.6 lbs/week? I know plateaus are normal but that's all I've really had😅 I'm not trying to crash diet and have the loss be unsustainable, but damn.

25lb weight loss, I can't see the difference.

My fiance says she can, and I know she means it, but I gained thirty pounds without noticing, now ive lost 25 of them and see no difference. My clothes dont feel any different and I feel like I still look the same.

It doesnt help me weight loss has stalled for the last week or so, and I just keep looking at that "95lbs left to go!" And my wedding getting closer every day. Its just... ugh. I want to see that difference, I want to feel that pride in myself, I want to have some tangible reminder that I am doing this right and a stall doesnt mean im failing.

At what point did you notice your loss? Did you start to actually see yourself differently in the mirror? Im longing for that moment of being able to see the work im putting in.

Could this be my issue?

So I have been having issues with my weight loss. I was doing really well for a long time and then all of a sudden just couldn't lose the same way I was before. I'm super gassy and bloated too. I have been weighing out and counting every single thing that goes into my mouth including oil and sauces. I thought about it and it seems like this all started around the time I went from using sugar in my coffee to using zero calorie sweetener. I looked it up and according to what I can find online artificial sweetener can have that effect on people with IBS, which I have. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I also noticed that that was also about the time when I started having terrible cravings for stuff all the time. I have read that artificial sweetener can do that too. Has anyone else run into this?

How does the opposite sex treat you as you’ve changed during your weight loss journey?

As I keep slimming down I’ve started to get some attention from people mostly women.. not full on flirting or anything (that’s fine, im very much a sociable person that loves interacting with people) it’s mostly socializing and some of it is positive comments on my appearance from women and it’s kind of a shock considering I’ve never had anyone bring up my appearance in a good way. I’ve always been the fat guy so I don’t expect or even think someone could perceive me as looking good at all.

Often times i don’t really know how to react.

Now I still have ways to go and I’m fine with the grind but my health and fitness goals are to get sustainably lean and put on muscle and with that in mind I feel like I won’t know how to handle actual flirting let alone romantic interest from someone.

So I’d be interested to know how anyone has handled this change in their own life and how they’ve overcome those strange feelings of suddenly being seen and to some extent wanted.

Weight loss postpartum - advice appreciated

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping for some feedback because I feel a little stuck right now. I want to say I’m OKAY if this is just not happening right now, I just want to know if I’m on the right track or if something can be optimized.

I had my second baby 3.5 months ago. Before delivery I was 179 lbs, the day after I delivered I was 169, and a few weeks later my weight leveled out around 162. Since then, I’ve been trying to drop another 5–10 lbs, but it feels like I lose a pound and then stall for a long time. Right now I’m 154 lbs.

Here’s what I’ve been doing: • Calories: set to 2200, but my actual average last week was ~2250. I’d say ~80% adherence — sometimes I grab bites off my kid’s plate, sometimes social events throw me off, and the last two days before grocery shopping meals are more patchwork. I try to track everything as best I can. • Diet: I meal prep, rarely eat out, and drink coffee daily. • Exercise: Strength train 3x/week (lifting effort around 5–6/10). • Learn-to-run 5K program: currently doing ~2 min run / 2 min walk intervals for 6–8 rounds. • Step goal: 12,000 daily. • Lifestyle: Exclusively breastfeeding.

A few more details: • Before, I was eating 2500–2700 calories, then slowly dropped to 2200 where I did see some initial progress, but nothing in the last week or so. • I don’t want to overtrain or tank my milk supply, but I also don’t want to just spin my wheels.

My questions: • Am I still eating too much at 2200–2250 while breastfeeding and being this active? • Should I be more patient, or do I need to tighten up tracking more? • Is it normal for weight loss to be this slow after baby #2?

Any feedback, experiences, or tips would be really appreciated — thank you!

Noticing it!

SW: 240 CW: 203 GW: 140

Hi!

Just wanted to pop on here and talk about noticing the weight loss etc.

When I started in May, I wondered how long it would be until I noticed it. Not other people, not the scales or measuring tape, but my own eyes.

I have body dysmorphia, so noticing it can be hard, as I only see what my mind allows me. That being said, I have been working on my self image issues, and truly looking in the mirror everyday with a positive mindset.

Over the last week, I have really noticed my weight loss, for the first time ever. I realised things were baggier, but truly didn’t believe it. Now I can really see it, and I feel like I am seeing my true self for the first time ever.

This is around the 30-40lb mark for anyone wondering, but others around me noticed at the 20lb mark.

So here I am, almost 4 months down the line, so happy I made that change even when I didn’t see the results strait away. I cannot wait to carry on, and see how I feel another 4 months down the line! So happy I am about to be under the 200lb mark in the first time in about 3/4 years, it’s going to be a real proud moment for me.

So if you’re reading this, please carry on! You can do it, and you will see those positive changes. If you are struggling, work on yourself too. That’s the best thing I ever did. Let time pass by, make those changes and you will see the results eventually. You will thank yourself so much. The time will pass anyway, so you might as well try <3

Fingers crossed for an under 200lb weigh in soon!
