After losing 60 pounds using calorie counting and gaining it all back, I’ve decided to try Weight Watchers

I had severe mental health issues that lead to me gaining back those 60 pounds plus 20 extra. Bipolar disorder, agoraphobia, etc.

In the past I used MyFitnessPal and lost weight very consistently. I was probably a little obsessed with it. I spent a decent amount of free time just looking up and memorizing the calorie counts of different foods.

With this second round of weight loss, I am trying what worked last time, but I am not succeeding. I can stick to calorie counts for a few days by eating EXTREMELY unhealthy food (I’m talking 2 donuts EVERY DAY). I stay within my calories despite my unhealthy diet, but I end up failing because I get SO hungry.

I am hoping with Weight Watcher’s use of “zero-point” foods will encourage me to eat healthier. I have already put in a normal day’s food intake for today and ... wow. They give me 29 points and I had been aiming for 1600 calories a day. 1600 calories of my normal food ended up being 60 points!!! That’s double what they are allotting me for a day...

Hopefully this focus on healthier options that WW provides will push me out of this fast-food rut I’m in.

How important are rest days to weight loss?

So I've been on a journey since January and am down almost 60 pounds. At first it was mostly just diet and pounds came off quickly. Then I moved to a new place closer to outdoor trails and I've been getting in massive hikes virtually everyday. I'm talking about 7K+ four or five times a week, and maybe 3 or 4k a day for the other couple.

When I first moved it was easy to take a break - I'd just stay home when it's raining. But we've had three plus weeks of unseasonably great weather and combined with the pandemic/monotony of working from home/living by myself, it's really hard to take a day off from it. Even with the regular routine I've noticed a slight plateau and my legs (which have to support a still obese huge man) get really sore.

I know rest is important for people trying to build muscle but I'm more focused on shedding pounds.

Should I be regularly taking a rest day?

Tattoos after weight loss?

How did your tattoos change after losing weight? Do you regret not waiting until you were in maintenance to get them?

I am in the beginning of my “weight loss journey” but i do not have a set goal weight. Im just making major diet and lifestyle changes for the sake of my health and know that weight loss will be apart of the process. I have pre existing conditions that make losing weight a lil harder than norm for me. If i had to guess i’d say I’ll lose 15-25 pounds when i get to where i wanna be. I have a lot of ink that i want to get but I don’t want to weight until im skinner to start getting them. Is it ok to get tatted while losing weight?

Weight Loss PLR Articles

Hello there !

I, myself, have been struggling with my weight for years now.

As of today, I'm feeling much better after following the right guide which explains everything perfectly.

It's really difficult to lose extra pounds nowadays; sugar and sweets ads, fast-food chains and the list goes on. Sometimes, you might think that the only necessity to get out of this unhealthy routine is 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: wrong. Motivation sure is essential, but you also need to be guided and to 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬.

I have tried lots, lots of different guides; some didn't fit my situation while the rest wasn't helpful enough.

However, there's a guide I've been reading and following for a while today... and the results are there.

The original price of it is often around $20 or $30. Today, I've found a lower price. And by lower, I mean 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 lower.

Send me a DM if you wanna know more about it. :)

Keeping it going through ups and downs

I am in the throws of yet another weight loss journey - down from my highest ever by 23lb's since 31st January this year.

I've tried many things in the past and this time am finding success combining CICO with IF, eating usually between 1 and 7pm, trying for a 1,000Kcal deficit, and I stopped drinking this time.

The issue is how do you keep going when you feel bad? This last couple of weeks I started out having side effects from my Covid Jab, which started to let up only for me to catch a brutal cold (I think our immune systems are out of practice!) so I've been feeling icky, tired and headachy for a while. I also take anti depressants and have done for years and sometimes that just gets on top of me, which it did yesterday with my general feeling rubbish and all the terrible news in the world.

I start out telling myself it's ok to have a day off and it's ok to be kind to myself but then I just end up out of control. Overall - I am still in a deficit this week and ended last week in a deficit but I gained on the scales today and have gone over my allowance every other day and drank a bottle of wine last night after 51 days AF.

How do you get through the low points and stay on course? I need to de in deficit for over a year to achieve a healthy weight and only 3 months in I can tell I'm failing again.

How to track calories burned through activity in the mountains?

Hi! This is my first time posting here so I apologize if this is the wrong spot. I am 26F, 5’9” and 160 pounds. Don’t have a ton to lose but definitely trying for that last little bit. I live a very active life in the mountains; bartending, lots of skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer.

My question is, how do I account for calories burned through more intense exercise at high altitude? At least 2-3 days a week in the summer I do big hikes, sometimes upwards of >10 miles, 3,000+ feet of vertical gain, many hours long at over 10,000 feet of elevation. I always find myself getting extremely hungry and during the hiking season I never know how much I need to be eating to properly fuel myself. Is there a reliable way to figure out how many calories something like this burns? I’ve never been a fitness watch person. In the summer I am oftentimes less concerned with “weight loss” per se, because I know I’m being active and gaining muscle. I know I need to eat more during the hiking season even if I want to lose weight, but I am lost. Thanks y’all!

160lbs to 265lbs. I need advice!

My days have consisted of basically binge eating fast food with absolutely no limits... for a few years now. I gained over 100 pounds in 3 years and it's REALLY starting to affect my daily life. I'm 23 years old 5' 9"and growing up i was always thin... my body is showing signs of stretch marks and my waist has gone from a 32 to a 38+ aside from feeling incredibly unhealthy and am afraid I can soon get diabetes since I drink up to 6 sodas a day. I've out grown all my clothes, and outgrown the new clothes I got months ago... going from a medium shirt to now an XL.

I'm really serious about weight loss, but want to ask. What should I really be eating... I'm planning on only water for the next few months as well as daily walking and eating less than 1,000 calories a day... before this I was eating about 4,000... it's pretty embarrassing but since this is a reddit page for weight loss why not ask...

I'd love some input and an estimate on how many months this will take being serious about it.

I'm trying to flatten my stomach at least noticeably in the next 2 and a half months since I've got something important coming up and want to know how much I'd truly lose being in a big calorie deficit eating things like grilled chicken and farm fresh chicken eggs with water... but even after then plan to keep this diet on till I'm at least 180lbs.
