160lbs to 265lbs. I need advice!

My days have consisted of basically binge eating fast food with absolutely no limits... for a few years now. I gained over 100 pounds in 3 years and it's REALLY starting to affect my daily life. I'm 23 years old 5' 9"and growing up i was always thin... my body is showing signs of stretch marks and my waist has gone from a 32 to a 38+ aside from feeling incredibly unhealthy and am afraid I can soon get diabetes since I drink up to 6 sodas a day. I've out grown all my clothes, and outgrown the new clothes I got months ago... going from a medium shirt to now an XL.

I'm really serious about weight loss, but want to ask. What should I really be eating... I'm planning on only water for the next few months as well as daily walking and eating less than 1,000 calories a day... before this I was eating about 4,000... it's pretty embarrassing but since this is a reddit page for weight loss why not ask...

I'd love some input and an estimate on how many months this will take being serious about it.

I'm trying to flatten my stomach at least noticeably in the next 2 and a half months since I've got something important coming up and want to know how much I'd truly lose being in a big calorie deficit eating things like grilled chicken and farm fresh chicken eggs with water... but even after then plan to keep this diet on till I'm at least 180lbs.
