Low calories, high protein?

I am 5'2" and since having a baby, I find I can really only eat 1500 calories to lose weight, and if anything, probably would be more successful if I ate 1200. I could probably eat 1600-1700 when I work out. Anyway, my issue is I always see the importance of protein for weight loss. I've calculated that for my body weight, I should shoot for 140g - 180g of protein. But it seems IMPOSSIBLE to get 150 grams of protein while sticking to 1500 calories. At best, I calculated I could get 125 g for the things I eat to lose weight now. And I could accept that's close enough and good, but I do wonder the following:

1) Has anyone had major weight loss without focusing on protein?

2) If high protein is necessary, any advice or meal ideas to eat low calorie, high protein (ideally enjoyable). I understand I could just eat a plain chicken breast and egg whites, but lets be real, I probably wouldn't be successful.

I've lost 40 lbs on weight watchers in 2021 not really caring about the above. Being aware of protein butnot really indexing on it. But my body is a lot different since having a baby. I find the things I did before being pregnant doesn't seem to work now. And I think there was a brief period where I REALLY tried to shoot for 140g of protein in 2021.

This is what I planned for this upcoming week and it's about 1600 calories, 134 grams of protein. To eat at 1600 calories, I definitley need to make working out a priority. I am tempted to cut one meal from below to get more 1200-1400 calories, but then I'd be about 115 g protein.

Copycat Starbucks Bacon-Gruyere Egg Bites (12g per 1): 24g protein | 280 calories
Collagen Powder in coffee: 20g protein | 70 calories
Matcha Protein Powder: 20g protein | 140 calories
Yogurt Parfait: 1 cup Greek Yogurt (13g, 80 cal); 1 tbsp Almond butter (3.4 g, 98 cal); Chia seeds (2g, 60 cal); 1/2 cup frozen blueberries (.5g, 60 calories); Granola (3g, 85 calories): 22g protein|383 calories
Chickpea Noodle Soup: 11g protein |320 calories
Protein heavy dinner (unsure): Approx. 35g protein | 400 calories

My weight loss doesn't make sense

8 years ago, I got diagnosed with a thyroid issue. Treating that allowed me to finally lose the 25 kg I had gained due to it (and bad eating habits).

During the pandemic, that weight came back, unsurprisingly.

I have now been trying to lose again, using the same strategy as last time: CICO and increased activity.

Bottom line? I only lose weight if I have a deficit of 1400 kcal or more, which is ridiculous.

Now you might be thinking I'm simply underestimating what I eat, or overestimating what I burn, but if I have a daily deficit of 1400 kcal, I steadily lose about 1 kg or more a week - the math checks out!

As soon as I drop to a lower deficit (1200 to 1000), I stop losing completely, for months.

I don't get it! I'm only able to do a deficit this high because I have a very active job and average almost 10k steps even without going for a walk. I try to eat healthy and high protein, where possible. I drink a lot of water, and no alcohol. My thyroid hormones are as they should be (had a recent blood test).

What the hell? Anyone got any ideas? This is driving me insane, as a 1400 kcal daily deficit is not sustainable for me.

I...Finally Did It? F/168cm/68kg<--81kg

I can't believe I'm finally there. Never thought I'd be the one who could ever write a successful weight loss journey post.
I've had a binge-eating disorder since I was barely 9. I've been obese, or overweight my whole life. I still have a lot to go, but I am now no longer in the overweight category!!! I can't actually believe this.

In total it may not look like I've lost a lot of weight, but I'm not even 16 yet, and my height isn't stable yet. I also have pretty broad shoulders and a large frame.

It IS possible! You CAN DO IT! I've lost 30 pounds all by myself, by a mix of calorie counting and portion control.

Lost fifteen pounds easily, went up only 400 calories, no longer losing weight.

I was on like 1400 cal/day and lost weight super successfully, -15 pounds in a month, including 4 pounds in my last week before upping calories. Realized I was probably losing weight too quickly, and added only 400 calories, still trying to lose weight. Now my weight has remained at 164-5 for literally 11 fucking days, despite the fact that I should be in like a ~1000 calorie deficit. I clearly know how to lose weight, I did it super easily, there's no way my metabolism could've possibly adjusted that quickly. I'm assuming its some unusual water retention phenomenon and my weight will start to drop again soon... just asking if anyone else has had this experience? My extra 400 calories are mainly carbs, I know they hold onto water, but eleven days after successful weight loss over a month, including visual decline in stomach size... this shit is weird as hell. I'm male 5'11, 165, lift weights five days a week, hard. Measuring everything I eat, clearly successfully, cuz I successfully lost fifteen pounds with ease, despite the fact that I was never seriously overweight.

Holy fucking shit, people.

Now that the semester has begun, people who I haven't seen all summer have been complimenting me, left, right and center! I've literally been told I went into summer as one man and came out a completely different man!

People have been praising my weight loss, asking if everything is ok (from a medical perspective), and whatnot!

The dopamine boost is serious!

I still have some way to go, though - I guess as I shed the last 5kg, the excess fat will burn away. Like I said, I'm South Asian, and I was extremely fat, and then I was skinnyfat. Now it's time to become fit again. To watch my BMI drop from 33 to 25.8 has been so stimulating.

I can finally do pullups! I just did my first three successful pullups the other day!

Anyone else get excited to weigh themselves?

Today I woke up excited to weigh myself. Been on a weight loss journey for a while now, but only recently started to shed the pounds when I stuck to IF 20:4 in a deficit. I don't work out, even a little, so that was the best option for me. I weigh myself every day, and today I was legitimately excited to see the scale. I'm losing a little over 2 lbs a week; I've lost 11 in the past month. The scale has become a friend to me. In the past, if I didn't weigh myself everyday I didn't feel accountable. Does anyone else weigh themselves everyday? Do you experience this excitement?

Anyone here know anything about Bloom?

I've noticed that this particular product is being advertised repeatedly on social media. I'm curious to know whether it is designed to improve gut health or promote weight loss. I have been striving to achieve my weight loss goals for a while now, but simply working out and eating healthier hasn't been effective for me. Despite following this routine for several months, I have not seen any progress. I'm looking for other solutions to help me reach my goal.

If you've tried it, how well do you like it? Do you recommend it?
