Came home from College to find out I've lost almost 20 lbs!!

Just some background but: I was told I had to lose weight before college started this year because I had gained about 60 lbs really quickly and it started to make a leg thing I have get much worse.

Actual story: I was away at school for the past two and a half months with the vague goal of "getting healthier" while I was away, and about halfway through the quarter I discovered loseit and decided to try to lose some weight. I couldn't weigh myself as I don't have a scale at my dorm, so I gave myself the very small goal of losing 5 lbs by the end of the quarter through CICO. I started tracking my calories (1500/day), and I'd say I was counting everything about 70% of the time with the exception of Halloween weekend and finals week because I was all over the place.

I finally returned home yesterday, and when I stepped on the scale for the first time today since September I was 183.6 lbs!! That's a whole 17 lb difference compared to where I started!! I honestly didn't think weight loss could be this simple, I thought I was just going to be stuck at 200 and my only choice was to stay there in pain, when only a few weeks later I feel so much better physically and I've lost way more than I had hoped!! I'm so excited! This is my first post to this community because I really needed someone to share it with, know that weight loss is possible, I'm already almost 1/4 of my way to my goal weight!

TL;DR: I aimed to lose 5 lbs through CICO, ended up losing 17 within a few weeks!

When do you start to see the change around the belly..[23F]

So, I’ve lost around 26 pounds, starting weight was 185 and current weight is 159, and my height is 5’0. While I’m every proud of myself and can feel the change with my clothes and see some parts of my body reflect my weight loss…I still hate my belly. I do think it’s gotten a bit smaller but not by much. That’s the area I want to get small but it doesn’t seem like much has changed. It’s a bit discouraging when I stood in front of my mirror this morning naked and saw myself sideways. I feel like I’m cute but my belly makes me feel ugly and grotesque. And it makes my diet a bit harder. Like I want to restrain myself even more, sometimes I skip breakfast. How long did it take for you see the change?

Social Media Inspo

Hey peeps!

I’m currently in the process of creating an IG account for motivation. I’ve been stagnating at 90kg for 2 months and honestly I think I need a boost, a place where I can get inspo for food, workouts and that is aesthetically pleasing.

I’m going to take a wild guess and assume that some of you have social media accounts and ask you if you have recommendations.

Basically accounts about weight loss first and foremost (a lot of the fitness accounts I can find are super fit people who never have had to go through intense weight loss paths), ideally women and preferably with nice pictures (alternative people and aesthetics are super welcome).

So basically: who do you follow?

For context I’m 28F, SW 95, CW 90, GW ~60

Im jealous of skinny/slightly overweight people

M/19/5’8 SW: 230lbs CW:158lbs GBF: 8%

Now that I’m back on a diet and loosing to get to 8% body fat, I forgot how saggy my skin gets. My loose skin got better but that’s only because I gained 11 pounds back after my initial weight loss. Now that I’m slowly getting back down… I am starting to feel like shit again about my body. I get it “comparison is the thief of joy” and “be proud of your progress” but it sucks to see others achieve your goals in less time because they were never obese. Skinny people go through their own set of lived experience and struggles. However, their bodies are in the best position possible to gain muscle and stretch out their skin with no loose skin. I’m getting a 360 body lift in April, however I’m so defeated that anything will change because I’ve lost the weight and did everything right, and I got left with a saggy unattractive version of myself that actually worked hard. I want to look like the guys you see on TikTok and I don’t really care if I have to get on steroids to do so. I would do anything to just not look like how I do, which is why I’m working so hard to change it, however the skin will always prevent me from having the best possible physique I can and I’m fed up. I wish I had started skinny.

I’m losing my mind

About myself : 23F, 5’6

SW : 102 kgs ; CW : 83.4 kgs

I have PCOD and IBS so my weight loss journey anyway becomes frustrating because I don’t see results fast. I started my journey in February and I am proud of how far I have come but I am scared of not being able to lose weight on my thighs, stomach and especially upper back fat. Anybody has some suggestions or can share their experience with this kind of fear. I stay in calorie deficit and my workout isn’t complex. 30 minutes cardio in the morning 30 minutes of strength training in the evening and 45 minutes of brisk walk.

Thanks in advance :)

Looking for Advice and Ideas

So here it goes.

Four months ago I posted some pictures trying to tell myself that it was time to get serious and finally lose weight.

In that time I got some gym equipment and started working out, although my heart wasn't in it and I knew it.

In short, nothing happened.

I didn't lose the weight or the measurements, but it was because I didn't take it seriously or perhaps I didn't realized that things could get worse and they did, they got worse.

So, what made me get to this conclussion?

Two weeks ago I graduated from university and although the event was online, you had to wear formal clothes. So I looked for my suit and it no longer fits me, something that frustrated me a bit but that was not a trigger because I was able to use other semi formal clothing.

A few days ago I wanted to use a shirt that I love because it used to fit me perfectly and I felt good about myself while wearing it, but I had the ugly surprise that the buttons barely closed and that wearing it I look like a "sausage".

This made me very sad and I had a few bad days because of it.

But I realize that this must be a wake-up call and that instead of drowning in self-pity I must do something to fix it.

So I want to ask your advice.

My idea is to create a channel on YouTube where I can upload VLogs where I can talk about my weight loss and maybe share ideas or advice that have worked for me, but more than anything as a diary that can serve as a control and as a commitment with myself.
To know that it's doable while being creative about how to show it to the world.

I would like to know, if by doing so, I could count on your support.
Advices, if I'm doing something wrong or something else than can help.
Cause I feel that if I don't do it now, I'm gonna lose control of this and my weight will go up and up.

At the moment it's just an idea, but I would like to have some feedback on it.
