Just some background but: I was told I had to lose weight before college started this year because I had gained about 60 lbs really quickly and it started to make a leg thing I have get much worse.
Actual story: I was away at school for the past two and a half months with the vague goal of "getting healthier" while I was away, and about halfway through the quarter I discovered loseit and decided to try to lose some weight. I couldn't weigh myself as I don't have a scale at my dorm, so I gave myself the very small goal of losing 5 lbs by the end of the quarter through CICO. I started tracking my calories (1500/day), and I'd say I was counting everything about 70% of the time with the exception of Halloween weekend and finals week because I was all over the place.
I finally returned home yesterday, and when I stepped on the scale for the first time today since September I was 183.6 lbs!! That's a whole 17 lb difference compared to where I started!! I honestly didn't think weight loss could be this simple, I thought I was just going to be stuck at 200 and my only choice was to stay there in pain, when only a few weeks later I feel so much better physically and I've lost way more than I had hoped!! I'm so excited! This is my first post to this community because I really needed someone to share it with, know that weight loss is possible, I'm already almost 1/4 of my way to my goal weight!
TL;DR: I aimed to lose 5 lbs through CICO, ended up losing 17 within a few weeks!
