I (F15 5’2 108 lbs) reached my goal weight of 110 lbs a while ago. While on my weight loss journey, I would eat a lot, but just make sure that the food was low-calorie (i.e a lot of vegetables and fruits on my plate).
However, during the very last week before I reached my GW, I had to go to a lot of dinner parties and restaurants, and I wanted to treat myself. So I would eat the food I wanted, but just less of it. For example, I would normally get a Big Mac and fries, but since I was trying to lose weight, I would only have 1/2 or 2/3 of the meal so I wouldn’t eat too many calories. The meals I ate were home cooked or from local restaurants that didn’t say how many calories were in each meal. I got used to only eating 3 small unhealthy meals a day without much snacks, and I continued losing weight.
The problem occurred when I reached my goal weight one week ago, and tried eating normally, but I would get full way too easily. I could only stomach half the amount of food I ate before my weight loss, and wouldn’t feel hungry until 5-6 hours later. Even when I wake up, I don’t feel hungry, even though I was always ravenous and needed to eat breakfast immediately a week ago. Now, I can pretty much only have one or two meals a day with a few snacks and feel no discomfort. But now I’m losing more weight, and I’m worried that I’ll be underweight if this continues. What’s wrong with my appetite? And does anybody know what I can do to fix my appetite and not lose more weight to the point of being unhealthy?
TLDR: I lost my appetite after reaching my goal weight and I’m worried I’ll be severely underweight soon. Why is this happening?
