I weight the same but look thinner

I turned 18 recently and noticed how I gained weight over the past few months. When I was 15 going on 16 I went through a massive weight loss (about 20 pounds/9 kg) and since then I've gained the weight back. I noticed though, that I look much thinner than when I weighet the same two years ago, my face is not as round, my stomach is flatter and my arms are thinner. Does this have to do with developing as a teenager? I went through a very sporty phase and gained a lot of muscle, but that was more than two years ago so I don't think it has to do with that though. Thoughts?

I know why I binge !

Hello hope you all are doing good I just wanted to say this to someone but I couldn’t so I decided to say it online anonymously. So for the context I am a 15 yrs old female 79 kg 179 I started my weight loss journey around the ending of the month of June starting at 93 kg since then I lost 10 kg and I am happy but i currently have been struggling because I still have another 10 kg to lose and the process had been slowed down due to me binging at least 4 time a week !!! And I binge about 2000+ when I am supposed to eat 1300 calories And I have been looking for different solutions but yesterday night I thought about half of my childhood, growing up as an only child I had nothing to do so I would eat and I wouldn’t stop so my parents would hide snack away and I always felt as if I had a limited time before I could have the snacks again but yesterday night my father secretly brought me a big pack of kinder bueno and I didn’t want my mother to know because she was gonna say that It was gonna make me fat that I was getting bigger and all that stuff, so I hid the chocolate box under my bed at a very far distance from me and told myself that I could have it when I wanted and that I had control over it Sorry for the grammar mistakes enfouis not my first language Have a nice day 😊😊

“Variable” Weight on the scale

Hi, a couple weeks ago I posted here about starting a my journey of weight loss. In two weeks I lost about 3kg (by walking around 5 to 6km and eating healthy)

I started to notice that wherever I weight myself on the Scale (a Xiaomi one) my Weight is not consistent. Last week I was at 91.35kg (weight myself at the morning, after waking up and going to the bathroom). Today my Weight was 92.05Kg. Every time I weight on the scale give me a different number. It is normal to weight more than last week?

Wanting to lose 80 pounds by the end of the year! What are your tips and recommendations on how this can be accomplished?

I am 5'7 and currently weight 266.8, recently(15 months) moved to Texas and just before moving I was 230. I just got done playing soccer for the first time in months and ran out of breath within 15 mins. I barley made it out to finish the 70 min session. I was very disappointed with myself and felt upset on how I let myself go this deep in the hole. My diet has been awful since moving to Texas and I would like to change it today! What do you recommend I do to achieve this. I stopped drinking soda for the past 3 days and am seeing a bit of results since I am substituting it with water. Is the 80 pounds weight loss seem realistic? I am not happy with myself and I believe this is one of the key issues in my happiness.

Upcoming Wedding and weight loss anxiety

I am a 28F and my CW is 140lb. I really want to lose ~10-15lbs by November and I have started eating 1200-1300 calories/day and light-moderate exercise 5 days a week. I have been following the plan since 2.5 weeks and have lost 2 lbs. Due to an important life event ahead (wedding), I can’t think of anything else apart from weight loss and it has been consuming all of my mental space. I know stress effects weight loss but I can’t help myself worrying about it all day, specially when the scale is moving slow. I have started focusing on strength training as well so if I lose a little less weight with body recomposition, it would be great. I have a desk job and I am trying to be more active as well.

Is there something else which I could do expedite the weight loss process ? I am very anxious about not looking the best version of myself at my wedding.

Are fitness trainers even worth it?

So I've had some success with my own weight loss journey. From 320 to 255lbs it's been slow but the rate is sustainable for me. A few month ago I got a gym membership and did a personal training session were I was kinda pressured into getting a trainer. (At the time I had a few medical issues that that I really wanted to get under control by losing weight). I decided to continue with it for a few months so I can at the very least learn and come up with a training plan for myself. The guy I'm working with over time has began to really frustrate me. He's constantly surprised that I'm not more capable than I am, I'm still very overweight so I know it takes time for me to build up strength and Stamina (and it really only been like 2 months) and his exercise / diet program which he offers through his app all require subscription fees which mind you I'm already paying the gym quite a bit a month for the trainer. Every training session I have with him is something different so there's really no routine it doesn't really feel like I'm learning much of anything and the whole thing feels kind of predatory in my opinion. Either way it definitely feels like I threw my money away and wasted my time.

The multiple phases of my weight loss journey

Each phase has lasted around 3 to 4 months, and I believe working with each phase is very helpful!!

Phase 1: sw 310, I was addicted to measuring and weighing my food. I logged everything I ate on the Lose it app, and that provided me a great understanding of the calories in each meal/snack! I also would binge watch weight loss videos, stalk reddit weight loss pages, listen to podcasts, eat healthy foods, and go on long walks. For these first few months, my entire life was dedicated to weight loss!

Phase 2: 270lbs at this stage, I was dealing with an illness, and was really just burnt out from meticulously counting my calories. I had completely stopped counting calories at this stage, stopped consuming weight loss content, stopped exercising, and stopped eating "healthy." During this phase, I still lost weight, but it was much slower. I believe this phase gave me the much needed break to continue my weight loss journey.

Phase 3: 250lbs-230lbs this stage is my current stage, and is probably in between the first two stages. I do count my calories, but only in my head. I no longer weigh food or track it on an app. I do exercise, but instead of long walks, I do about 15 minutes of strength training daily. I have started consuming weight loss content again, but certainly not at the level I started at. I have reincorporated healthier foods, such as fruits and vegetables back into my diet. This phase has been my favorite, and hopefully the phase I can stick with for life!

In previous years, my weight loss never went through phases, it was always an all or nothing mentality. I believe that I have been so successful this time because I have listened to my body, and brain, and adjusted my lifestyle as needed. Don't be scared to just maintain / slowly lose weight if you need that break. It is so worth it in my opinion!
