No one noticing 20% weight loss!

Over the last 5 months, I have lost 20% of my body weight (260 to 210). I did not tell anyone at work or church and since we don’t eat together in those settings due to Covid-19 restrictions, no one is clued in to my changing eating habits.

I kept waiting for someone to say something. I find it hard to believe that everyone is just being polite. I think it is really, strangely not very noticeable. I haven’t even bought many new clothes. For clothing, I was in between sizes, now I am in between the next sizes down. So a bunch of my clothes still fit but are just looser fits.

I find it odd. I am wondering if it will just hit me at some point. Will I suddenly look smaller to everyone after 2 more pounds, or 5, or 10, etc?

Health vs calories

Hi everyone! I'm looking for advice on how to eat healthy/manage weight loss without having to count calories anymore. 19 F ~230 lbs

I know there's a lot of rants on here about how annoying it is that people want to not count. A lot of complaints of people just not knowing what they're doing, etc. But hear me out and I could really use some help.

Counting calories technically DOES work for me, when I'm able to make it work. However the tedious process of Counting and weighing and measuring and calculating. It stresses me out a lot and sends me into obsessive spirals followed by binging/completely discarding health in favor of comfort.

Constantly over thinking food and numbers has become a really big problem in my life and is harming my mental health. I just wanted to be healthy and lose weight, I didn't want to spend all of my time stressing about what I'm buying , going to cook later, cooking now, etc. I'm afraid my personality is generally anxious and just isn't suited for it??

Anyway I'm hoping to find some resources to help choosing/making better options and focusing on just getting all of the food groups. Any advice or input would be great

Weight loss for women over 40

Hi!

Mу friend who is a nutritionist and I have noticed that there are no weight loss programs specifically for women over 40. And it’s a pity, since body changes at that age and it would be cool to have a program that keeps these changes in mind.

So we’ve teamed-up and created a 6-week program to help women who are over 40 lose weight in a healthy way. The program gives knowledge on how the body changes and includes a weekly meal plan, recipes, workout plans and videos. Each plan includes personalised diet and physical activity recommendations.
You can find more information on our website - https://your-healthy-life.co/

In case you are interested, feel free to fill out the form and get your own plan.
Otherwise, we will be more than grateful, if you provide your feedback on our idea and website or share it with your friends.

I’ve finally reached double digits again!

I started my weight loss journey at 106kg (234 lbs) Now, for the first time in a long time my weight only has 2 digits at exactly 99.9kg (220.2 lbs.) I’ll probably fluctuate quite a bit and go back to 100kg but seeing those 2 digits on the scale made me so happy I’m about to cry. Still, this isn’t the end of my journey, only the beginning. But the fact that I was able to reach my first goal makes my other goals seem a lot more achievable and is so motivating.

Saxenda

This is my first ever post, but i'm a long-time lurker. I was recently prescribed wegovy to aid with weight loss, but my insurance didn't cover it, and it was too much out of pocket for me. My doc then prescribed Saxenda, which is covered by my insurance, so I'm going to start that soon.

I've previewed other posts here on reddit regarding Saxenda, but I'd like to see some more recent (2021) reviews. Pros? Cons? Side effects? Since it's a daily injection, did it cause a lot of bruising? Is this medication something that you stopped after a certain amount of time?

TIA!

Finally reached average bodyfat! 229lbs -> 187lbs, 34% -> 24% - 2 years progress pics and chart.

Hi all,

27/M/6'1

229 -> 187, 34 ->24 bf & 7 Inches lost on my waist.

I've finally done it. Officially got to my goal weight/bf percent goal, it's taken 2 years but I've had the ups and downs which I'll show you on my weight loss chart below.

I still struggle with bingeing especially alcohol(I love a drink) but I've cut it down substantially, my main problem is not moderate drink it's an outright binge that's just embarrassing how much I drink which I'm still trying to deal with now.

I've been on OMAD for about 80% of the 2 years and I really think that I've found what I truly believe is the best for me. Like they say: "The best diet is the diet you forget your on". I like OMAD because only spending about 30 - 45 minutes of cooking per day for me is bliss. I couldn't stand cooking 3 seperate meals all the washing up etc just put me off big time.

Also joined the gym the last 2 months, so been hitting that when I can, been average about 3 - 4 days a week which I want to up to 6 days a week when the New Year hits. I know I've hit my goal but I want to continue further and lose another 7lbs and about 2 inches from the waist to get to about ~20% bf but that's probably 2 - 3months off itself.

So yeah, keep going guys. It's not always linear but ride the lows and get back on track and you'll get there. It's not a race but a marathon, enjoy the journey(as much as you can :))

Take it easy, stay safe. Your fellow comrade,

Will

(19 F) weight loss help

hi! i'm tired of having no self confidence so i'm trying to work on myself specifically my body. my highest weight was 63kg which was 20 days ago and i now weigh 59kg (155cm). my goal weight is around 50-52kg. i am a full time pharmacy student and work part time as a barista.

i have a bad habit of being severely obsessed with counting my calories when i am in the "weight loss zone" it's like my mentality just switched overnight. i use MFP 1200 calorie diet and intermittent fasting. however, i tend to "challenge" myself eating below 1200 because i convince myself that i am just a small person who doesn't need all that calories.

i am scared of repeating the same mistakes i have made 2 years ago wherein i started binge eating after losing 8kg hence gaining it back. i really want to have a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

is there any tips that you can give me because i am so lost on where to start and not fall into an eating disorder. plus i'm really tired of my friends making "fat" jokes. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

thank you! :)
