15 lbs away from goal weight and well . . . the thrill is gone. How did you keep reinventing your goals & inspiration?

Demographic: 29 y/o F - 5'5''

Starting Weight: 250 lbs (October 2020)
Current Weight: 165 lbs
Goal Weight: 150 lbs
weekdays: IF 16/8
weekends: CICO
walking: ~15 miles per week
pilates: 4x week*

I measure myself and try on my goal jeans weekly. Well, this afternoon the jeans fit! Shortly after removing them I began to feel a sense of listlessness. The boredom with my weightloss that I've felt since October was heavier all of a sudden, kind of depression like--totally wasn't expecting that. With my pre-diabetic health concerns and aesthetic concerns out of the way I'm struggling to renew my inspiration to lose weight. How have your weight loss or fitness goals morphed over time? How have you been able to reinvent or renew your goals after reaching major milestones?

*I just began reformer pilates ~3 weeks ago. The 4x weekly is due to the fact that I'm a hyperfocuser, and the classes are buoying me through this strait of weight loss apathy. FWIW, Pilates seems to have shrank the inches around my waist and hips, but my rate of weight loss is pretty much the same.

Lack of appetite?

Maybe it's bad timing since I posted about how proud I am of my weight loss literally yesterday.

But yeah idk if it's me going through a breakup, or my cravings are stable, but I just don't feel hungry anymore. Which is weird because I just broke a long plateau following the exact same thing I've always done. My TDEE is still good.

For the last few days, it has been incredibly difficult to log in at least 1K cals, let alone my usual deficit of 1300. I've been trying to eat small bags of Doritos to help fill the gap, but I don't want to get into the habit of forcing myself to eat junk food. Same goes for drinking my calories. I don't like soda at all, and chugging it down to fill my calories make me feel horrible. The snacks I usually eat are very low calorie and I don't like to feel super full, so I can't eat a lot of those.

I said I was at 236 yesterday, but I woke up to 234 today and I'm sure it's going to be less tomorrow. I don't want to make this into a habit since I've fallen to restrictive eating disorders before.

Any help please!!

Need a diet plan to start my weight loss journey

Over the past 18 months, I’ve been eating junk and not working out etc, so naturally I’ve put on about 20-25 kg during the pandemic. Now I’ve decided to start losing all that weight and get healthier. I’m a 26 years old, 6’ and 110 kg dude, and I’d love to have someone help me with a good diet plan to start off. I’d like to do IF so please can someone help me?

At this point I’m desperate, it’s time to lose all that weight and get healthy.

i gained back all the weight i lost and i’m so depressed..

during the first few months of quarantine I decided that I was going to put my free time to good use and get healthy. I did amazing, I would run and only eat healthy and nutritious foods. Chicken, rice, vegtables, smoothies, protein shakes, etc. In the start of my weight loss in april I was 155lbs (5’5) give or take 5 pounds. I had always hated my body and wanted change. By the end of the year I was down to a whopping 122. I felt happy and confident and everyone around me noticed and applauded me for getting in shape. Well, around april of this year, I’ve began to slip. I started gaining weight and told myself that if I got up to 130 I would’ve have to change my eating habits again. Well, i reached 130, then 140, then 150, and now I weigh 155-57. It’s been so long I don’t even know where to start, or if i even have the motivation to change at all. I find myself eating all the time, even when i’m not hungry. It’s like I can’t relax unless i’m snacking. I dont track calories anymore, but I think I might start there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

NSV: Completely different experience at the family gathering this time!

In June, I met up with a group of family members that I had not seen in a long time. I had already made decent progress on my journey, but I was still obese, and everyone else on this side of the family is thin and fit. I had also just come back from a summer vacation, so I was even bigger than usual. I felt so out of place, and I know they are all the kind of people who are vigilant about their own weight, and immediately catch the problem if they gain a few pounds. I spent the whole time worried they were secretly judging me, which wrecked my self-confidence. They were all happy to see me, and obviously didn’t comment on my weight, but I felt so ashamed, and like an elephant. The hostess took candid pictures, and I looked absolutely awful in one where I was sitting down, with my chair way in front of thin people in the background. I looked awful in all the pictures that day, and felt ashamed to see them.

Yesterday, we got together again! This time, I am just overweight, and have even been losing through thanksgiving and the Christmas season so far! I felt so confident and happy with the progress I’ve made, even at a difficult time to lose weight. I wasn’t focused on feeling like an elephant, and could let loose and have fun. The hostess took candid pictures again, and I was actually happy with how I looked in them, and tagged myself! I didn’t feel intimidated by the great shape everyone else was in, and could be more relaxed and confident. I realized that by the next time I see them, I might even be at my goal weight! It was a night and day difference with how self-conscious I felt last time!

I definitely learned today what people mean when they say, “the confidence that comes from weight loss is amazing!” I’m not even to my goal yet, but the social experience was completely different. I’m so proud of the hard work I have put in, and can’t wait to be at my goal!

Need to lose, it's now or never if I want to have a kid

I'm hoping posting here will help with my accountability or at least help with some positive vibes being sent my way. Me and my husband have been trying to conceive, but have not been successful. I've been trying some medication based hormone therapy on and off for a year with no luck. My gyn finally referred me to a fertility clinic to be treated for infertility, but (and I saw this coming) I've been told I'm too fat for treatment.

This news was something I have feared all along. No one wants to admit to themselves that something like infertility could be linked to their weight. But here I am at my heaviest weight being told I need to lose at least 100lbs to qualify for treatment.

If anything, it's a huge motivator. I have a set goal and I know I need to reach it if I want a family. But with my past history of obesity and failed attempts at weight loss, I have such a negative voice in my head telling me that it's impossible. I keep getting stuck and focusing on how large of a feat lossing 100lbs feels like. It's leaving me with a sense of defeat already.

ADVICE PLEASE: losing inches on waist but not as much on belly

Hello there! I started my weight loss journey on September 15th... 5'1 F starting at ~171 and now I am at 144.2lb.

My waist started off at 33inches and now it's 28 inches. My belly area, started off at 38 inches and now is 36 inches. I eat low carb - keto (alternate) and I am on a significant caloric deficit but I do not see much results in my belly. What can I do? even at my lightest 108-110lb, i've always had a pooch but I really want to eliminate it. Furthermore, I tend to bloat v easily and am very constipated a lot (incase this has any correlation).

Any tips on lower belly fat + gut health?
