5’3” starting weight loss tips and nausea

Starting weight loss- 167 a month ago. Today it’s 157. I also loosely intermittent fast most days. I walk on the walking pad 1 hour and go to the gym for strength 1 hour 3 days a week.

I wake up in the middle of the night many days with nausea. I don’t have any acid reflex and there is no chance I’m pregnant. Any tips or advice?

My diet before was pretty bad, high sugar. Recently it’s higher protein and fiber, low carbs(1 piece of bread or 1/4 cup of rice per meal). I stopped breastfeeding in February after breastfeeding my 2nd baby for 1.5 years.

How Do You Lose Weight Without Forming an Unhealthy Relationship with Food or Youself?

I am having the hardest time reconciling those two things. For added context, I used to be a super active member of this community and initially lost 85lbs through CICO and more movement. It brought me from 250lbs down to 165! Which was still considered overweight, as I am a 5'5 female, but it felt like a really comfortable spot for me.

A year or two after not actively dieting, I've managed to only gain about 15lbs, which is not phenomenal - but just being under 200 still is considered a win for me. The problem is that I would love to lose weight again, this time dipping down to 140lbs, but I can't help but remember the dark place I was in trying to lose it all in the first place. I often felt a lot of shame and would even have nightmares about eating over maintenance. The restriction was very bad for my self-esteem, and despite my best efforts about trying to get back into it all, it just ends up causing me to binge now.

I assume going to therapy would probably help a lot with this, but it is not a viable option for me right now. Are there any ways I should reframe my mindset about weight loss? Some way to make it feel less like punishment? Thanks!

Is My Calorie Deficit Correct?

I've started trying to lose weight. I'm 37 F, 178cm and 111.5kg. I started my calorie deficit last Monday, I weighed 113kg then. I'm using My Fitness Pal and I have it set to 1kg weight loss per week and I am given 1530 calories a day. I'm mostly sedentary due to my job. But I joined a gym and have started exercising 3 times a week. I don't want to start taking into account any calories burned through that. I guess I'm worried I'll have to drop my calories even lower when I start losing more weight. Any insights?

Weight loss when exhausted and overtaxed

I have been back on my weight loss journey for about 50 days. I returned to Noom which has always worked for me. I was doing really well until work really ramped up. Due to some internal issues, I am now on call for 48 hours, off for 48, and then on for 24 which means I have to live on site until my shift is over.

I ride horses about 4-6 times per week depending on how work ends up. So I am getting SOME workout done through the week. My job is also fairly strenuous as I work in an equine hospital in surgery. So we are lifting, pushing, and holding heavy weighted objects. So maybe you could say light weight training a few times a week.

I am just stuck on my weight of 180, which is basically where I started. I’d like to be in the 140’s but right now I’d be happy to see something in the 160’s. I am trying to eat as healthy as possible, but sleep has been hard to come by and jumping between housing sites makes it hard for me to mentally prepare meal prepping and healthy options (especially if I get home late and have to flip around to head to an emergency).

I find myself just spent, where before I enjoyed my nightly run. Thankfully this new schedule will end next month when we have a big crew showing up to help spread the load. Any advice until then?

Daily schedule looks like this:
Wake-up: 6:00am (sometimes earlier)
Work: 6:30am (sometimes earlier)
Ride: hopefully sometime before 5pm if I can get away
Work ends when it ends. Could be 2pm could be 9pm.
I am also in school full time online.

So things are always constantly changing. Work is based off of surgeries scheduled and times they are scheduled for. Anyone else lock something down with a sliding scale like this? Sorry the post is so long!

TLDR; my schedule is nuts and I want to lose weight. How can I add more exercise with my current crazy schedule?

Slower Loss for BED Recovery?

Question: For those of you recovering from BED, is it safer to lose more slowly, with a smaller deficit than to go for the 1 lb a week loss?

I want so badly to lose this weight. I'm 38F, 5'4", and 234 lbs. I'm literally doing a sleep study tonight to be evaluated for sleep apnea. I'm terrified for my health. I had orthorexia for 13 years before developing BED, so I know I have to be careful.

I AM seeing a therapist and have worked with a dietitian, so I am working on recovery. But I know losing weight is going to help my physical health from worsening. I'm just afraid of having too high of a deficit and then bingeing and undoing all my hard work.

I just don't want to lose so slowly. I know I've got to actually focus and get into the "long haul" mentality and not fast weight loss mentality. But it's hard.
