Am I consuming too much fat for a healthy diet or is my calorie tracking app just recommending a small amount?

I (female, in my early twenties, if that matters) use the calorie tracking app Yazio for my weight loss journey and it worked great so far. I manage to stay in my deficit most day and have no issues with weight loss. The macro nutrient I cut out the most are carbs, I still eat them however just less of them.

What I noticed however is that Yazio recommends eating only 47 gramms of fat a day, if I had a lot more movement that number goes up because my total energy expenditure goes up as well. So on an average day I can have about 55 gramms of fat. Usually I consume about 70 gramms. My total calories for a day like that would be 1600.

While I try to eat mostly healthy fats, like olive oil or fatty fish, I also eat about a serving of butter a day and regularly eat cheese (mostly mozarella, feta or halloumi)

Am I consuming too much fat for a healthy diet or is Yazio just recommending a smaller amount in order for people to stay in a deficit more easily?

I am planning to get some bloodwork done for a number of reasons and that will probably tell me, but i just wanted ask on here anyways since the appointment is a couple weeks away.

What are some calorie dense foods people aren’t aware of? And alternatively, what are some foods with very little calories?

I recently made a post here after I discovered how calorie dense granola was. I know nuts and peanut butter are pretty calorie dense too, but what are some other foods that are similarly calorie dense? Also want to know what are some surprising foods that are low in calories that one wouldn’t expect, but are also really filling. I’m currently on a weight loss and everyday I just realize how important weighing my food is lol due to the calorie density of some of these foods. I’ve been eating a lot of chicken, bell peppers, swapped rice for potatoes, and consuming a lot of Greek yoghurt. Loads of fruits as well!

Every Time I Lose Weight I Gain It back, I Need Advice

So I've struggled with my weight for a very long time, basically my whole life and always have been dieting and trying to lose weight. Last year I lost about 13kg and gained back 20.
I'm really not proud to admit that, and thinking about it genuinely makes my heart drop. I wasn't really eating well when I lost all that weight, and I don't recommend that. Anyway, now I'm really discouraged and I don't know where to start, especially because I'm back at the beginning of what seems to be a miserable loop I so desperately want to get out of.

Anyway, I have some concerns:

I'm really short (153cm) so I'm definitely not at an advantage and I'm told I need to lift weights; I tried getting into it with a personal trainer but she was honestly pretty terrible and would make fun of me to coworkers and that turned me off the gym for a bit. Not saying I won't work out. I have a treadmill at home, are there any workouts that I can do at home to build muscle? What's a good workout schedule?

As far as nutrition goes, I'm at my wit's end. Everyone says something different: track your calories, hit 100g of protein but don't forget your fiber. Go on a calorie deficit but make sure it's not too low. How do I know what's too low??

Compliance and maintenance. I think it goes without saying that I probably have a huge problem with that; I'm trying to think of weight loss as a lifestyle shift rather than a momentary thing but for some reason that makes it a lot harder. Every time I change for the better I get 100x worse.

I'm not trying to be negative and I haven't lost all hope but I'm feeling really lost and I'm hoping to get some advice or pointers to the right direction. Thank you for reading and I appreciate any comments.

How to handle body dysmorphia after weight loss

hi all! I have went from 92 kg to 62 kg in 6 months. Even though i feel better physically, i feel so much worse in my body now than i did before.
I always envisioned my body to look a certain way and it does not.
That makes me so much more insecure than when i was big! Even though i am not skinny now, i wish i felt better in my own skin after all the work i put in.
For example, i always envisioned skinny arms, but since they were huge to begin with, they are now not exactly small plus they have some loose skin, so i dont have that “skinny arm” that i always wanted experience, which sucks after battling this for so long.
Does loosing more weight help with this? Am i just still too big to see any kind of definition? i am currently 160 cm and 62 kg, or 5’3 and 138 pounds.
Does anyone have experience/insight on this?

Looking for feedback on my plan (F22/168 cm/70kgs)

Hi all. I've been back on track with my weight loss! I lost around 15 kg over the span of the past two years, with my highest recorded weight being around 85 kg. Spent around a year hanging around 72 kg and decided that it's time to work off the last bits and get down to my goal weight of approx. 63 kg. I've been counting calories quite rigorously and would like some feedback on my plan as I'm having a hard time estimating if I'm doing things as effectively as I could.

Currently I'm eating 1500 calories a day with an emphasis on protein intake and have lost 2kg in the past month. I walk 10k steps a day on average and work out once or twice a week (squatting heavy and deadlifting every Saturday, and a short core and upper body workout with light weights for about 30 minutes). I work a job where I'm on my feet for 8 hours thrice a week. However, with a festival this past weekend where I ate over maintenance + period pounds I haven't lost weight at all this week. This is fine with me; weight loss should not stop me from doing the things I love!

My main question stems from TDEE calculations. I'm just not sure whether or not my maintenance is closer to ~1700 or ~2000, and whether I could/should be lowering my intake. I want to keep my deficit phase as short as I safely can because I honestly find tracking calories annoying and I have a tendency to get rigid and mildly obsessive about it. Also, how should I go about factoring normal weight fluctuations (e.g periods, slow bowel movements, water weight, etc). Could anyone more knowledgeable, or in a similar boat, share some wisdom? Am I lightly active or sedentary? Help!

Why doesn't my lifestyle change stick?

I am 47 year old woman, I have me cfs and pots, I lost 12 kilos, 26 pounds, in a year only by calorie counting as I have exercise intolerance.

In March I took a diet break cause my weight loss had almost stopped and all the effort of planning, shopping, cooking, dieting and counting calories was barely giving me results anymore. I was eating 1400 cal per day and counting calories with fitsum, then I did maintaince and now I am off the diet and have regained 3-4 kilos,7-9 pounds.

I was bedridden for 2 years and I gained 20 kilos, 44 pounds, I'm on 5 meds that increase appitate and I have exercise intolerance. I have lost weight before so I know how, the new habits just dont stick.

The biggest problem is night time snacking and often I fall asleep, wake up again and eat. And that I don't stick to things. And sugary cravings at night. Sometimes I am too exhausted to eat anything that needs preparation.

A dietician told me to accept being overweight and stop dieting. A holistic nurturingist told me to get a continus blood sugar monitor, I haven't because it's expensive but maybe I should.

Never in my life has losing weight been so difficult. I need motivation to continue.

Please don't recommend exercise and please understand that English is not my native language.

Thank you

Whats the best way to lose weight fast resistance training or jogging?

Been in the gym for about 6 weeks and seeing a difference but nothing drastic. Have a hernia in my stomach that I cant get fixed till December. Certain exercises when weight training definitely dont feel great. But im not going to stop going to the gym. Have a trip in 4 weeks and weight training isn't giving me enough weight loss yet. Wondering if i am better off just jogging for the next few weeks to lose the weight faster to atleast maybe not look like crap for this vacation. What will help me lose the weight faster strength training or jogging?
