Hello everyone. I’m 29F and I started my weight loss journey in December 2019. My starting weight was 260 and I began with adjusting my caloric intake to 1500 and lost nearly 20lbs in less than a month (260-242). After that, it was very gradual, and my lowest weight was 217 in November 2020. At some point along the way, I stopped with the calorie deficit and only did intermittent fasting and that seemed to work for a while but when I stepped on the scale, I stayed for several months at 215-ish.
I continued fasting and have been every since because it’s good for my overall health but when I weighed myself in April of this year, it was 225. Not too bad of a difference but enough to make me start calorie counting again. I’ve been losing gradually, at a rate I’m happy with but I weighed in on July 20 at 212 and then weighed in today at 213. This is troublesome.
My diet could definitely be a bit better because I do tend to snack since I take a stimulant for my ADHD and that suppresses my appetite quite a lot so I snack to avoid feeling over full. I eat appropriate serving sizes, I can only eat plant based snacks (I can’t have dairy), and try to find things with minimal ingredients. A favorite has been the Back to Nature brand and the Siete brand.
I see a personal trainer three times a week who knows of my dieting and is very supportive.
How can I get over this plateau?
