New to the sub😀

I'm currently 2 months in on my weight loss journey(378->345) but I'm starting to get unfocused. I have been lifting weights off and on since I was 10(I'm 41) and grew to love it..until I stopped 10yrs ago. Through these last two months though I've found the spark again and am falling back in love with it( not cardio though ). My problem is that I'm starting to focus solely on that aspect of my plan and my workouts are getting more and more geared towards hypertrophy) I love reading everything I can about it and taking my own notes for my files especially scientific stuff. So I would love to have credible sources for information I can read about regarding the most efficient way to lose weight (scientifically speaking or just by passionate people) and any advice on maybe meshing weights into my weight loss plan responsibly. I hope that wasn't too confusing...
