[NSV] I baked banana bread yesterday...and I ate NONE of it!

A big challenge for me on my weight loss journey is baking. I occasionally get bitten by the baking bug, either from random desire or from need (party, family dinner, etc.,). It is SO difficult to not taste everything, the batter, the frosting, the finished product.

I had 4 overly ripe bananas yesterday that I was going to throw out though I didn't want to. Boyfriend just didn't feel like bananas this week, I guess. I realized I was going to my parents' house for dinner and could make banana bread and kill two birds with one stone. My planned dinner was going to put me at my calorie limit and I was worried I'd end up eating a few slices.

BUT Y'ALL I DIDN'T!

I didn't know I had that kind of restraint and it's awesome. I also ran a mile and a half for the first time yesterday after work. I've only gotten up to 1.25 miles previously. So I'm feeling pretty damned good! If I,a hopeless food comfort eater, can do it then so can you!

I had boyfriend try the bread just now because I was worried it wouldn't be sweet enough or was over baked but he said it was perfect. I took a bite of his portion (just one, I'll have a slice with dinner tonight) and it was very nice.
