NSV: I'm a size small

Hi fellow losers,

I've been a size medium since I was in high school, even before I was overweight. I'm pretty tall, so I just assumed I would always be at least a medium, and sometimes a large. This month I started a new job and they have given me two t shirts. I ordered a medium both times, and they're big! Like I could wear them as a very short dress big. They are both in unisex sized which I think makes them run a little bigger, but I also bought a size small dress at J Crew this weekend, and it fits great! It's not even tight! I never though I'd be able to wear small clothes!

I've lost 19 pounds to achieve this although this past week has been a hard one for me. I did it with CICO. One thing that has helped me is consistency. I can easily estimate my calories because I eat the same things really often. This doesn't bother me and it isn't boring for me, I did it even before I started my weight loss journey. But it really helps with CICO. If I eat the same sandwich every day for lunch and know that I'll include a fruit, a high protein snack, and a salty/carby snack I can get an idea of what my calories will be for that meal. I still weigh everything to get an accurate count, but having that estimate helps. I also cycle through the same 10 dinners and I know that on nights I'm going to have pierogies or taco salad I can have a couple more snacks because they end up being lower calorie than most of my other typical dinners.

I also eat everything in moderation, although I know this doesn't work for everyone. I'd be sad without my occasional Doritos though. As long as I can for it into my calories, it isn't off limits for me.

My final tip for this post is: DRINK A LOT OF WATER. Water is good for you, if you drink more water you can drop the water weight from your salty meal last night, it makes me feel more energetic.
