Does anyone else workout using videos from The Body Project (on YouTube)

Hello all!

I just wanted to make a post to share about a channel I discovered on YouTube that posts a wide variety of workout videos. I've never seen it talked about on this subreddit but I think it could be very beneficial for others here, especially during this covid-19 pandemic. Not only are gyms are a risky place to be because of the pandemic, but I am also someone that has gym anxiety and hate the idea of going to a public place to workout in front of other people. Additionally, videos on the Body Project are free to watch for anyone with an internet connection (as gyms can also be super expensive). I do these workouts in the privacy of my living room all the time. You don't even really need a TV to watch and workout with these videos. While it may not be ideal, it can definitely be done just by watching them on your phone.

The Body Project posts workout videos that literally almost anyone can do. These workouts are almost always all-standing and require very little equipment. Many times they will include small hand weights as a more intense alternative but these are not required at all and you can easily do the exercises either without weights or with household alternatives like bottles of water. I have also come across a select number of workout videos specifically designed for the elderly/senior citizens and also for individuals with limited mobility (such as being wheelchair-bound). There is literally a workout available on that channel that includes sitting-down exercises using a chair. This channel is also super encouraging in taking breaks when needed, especially for water and also for modifying exercises that are difficult for you or just going at your own pace and doing what you can do.

A majority of the exercises in these workouts are all-standing and low impact. This was something I was especially worried about when I decided to start exercising more on my own weight loss journey. I have never found a workout on there that makes you do pushups, burpees, crunches, situps, etc. Many of their exercises can be amped up for higher intensity, but can also be taken down a notch in a less-intense version. These workouts are mostly cardio, however, they also incorporate some resistance too without weights (like I talked about above). These workouts are available in a variety of time frames. Workouts can range anywhere from 15 minutes all the way up to a full hour. Some workouts are specifically less intense and made for beginners, but they also have some intermediate, high intensity, or HIIT workouts available too.

Does anyone else on here work out to the Body Project videos on YouTube? If so, please add your experiences/opinions! I've really enjoyed having this as an option as it makes it harder to find excuses to not exercise and move my body, especially during a pandemic and during the winter where going outside is not always a great option. If you're looking for ways to exercise without going to the gym, without spending money on equipment, and to exercise in the privacy of your own home, I think the Body Project has plenty to offer. I am not sponsored by this channel either, I just wanted to share with fellow people on weight loss, health, and fitness journeys!
