Hello, firstly this reddit is awesome, I've been lurking here the past couple of months and you're all just so positive, thank you!
So like the title suggest, I've been losing weight pretty quickly and it's raised my alarms a bit. When I started to change my diet and increase my exercise 6 weeks ago, I weighed in at 230 lbs, I'm now down to 214.
I'm constantly moving at work, walking at a brisk pace about 8 miles a shift. After work, I do some super sets of bodyweight exercises to stimulate my muscle groups and on my days off I take two 45 minute walks to compensate the decrease in activity. My current diet is about 1500 calories a day do go against the 2700 I've been burning a day. I eat oatmeal every morning, eat fruit and vegetables for lunch, and then finish the day with some protein (usually fish, I'm cutting back on red meat). I cut out (or limit) every carb heavy food I enjoy and stopped drinking sugary drinks outright.
That being said, am I doing something wrong? I've been reading about how losing weight too fast can be indicative of losing muscle mass and the problems that can create for the body, however I'm looking at my protein intake and my exercise routines and I feel like I'm getting plenty of muscle stimulation and I feel great every day
TL;DR I'm losing weight at what seems to be a very fast rate, I get plenty of protein and muscle stimulation, is my calorie deficit of 1200 effecting muscle mass or was my diet so bad that changing it drastically had an equally drastic effect on my weight loss?
