I had been trying to track my calories and eat healthier to lose weight which started on May 1st. My husband was not keen on the idea of tracking calories. He did some research on keto and decided he wanted to try it, so I agreed to do keto along with him. So far I am down 10lbs in 20 days, and my husband is down 11lbs in two weeks (he is finally back in onederland)! I am so proud of how well he has done!
What has made this weight loss journey better is doing it together! Now we cook together while listening to music, lookup recipes, and go grocery shopping together. We used to eat out a few times a week and now we only cook at home and pack lunches for work. To track calories/macros we have been using MFP and Carb Manager. Using our Withings Body+ scale has been a great motivator to keep track of our progress!
Even if I don't stay on keto I will continue counting my calories and being mindful of my eating habits! I do not think I would have made this much progress if it wasn't for the motivation of my husband. At this rate I will make my GW of hitting 130lbs by 30 in 5 months. :)
