Hi guys! I’m on a weight loss journey right now and I’m the highest weight I’ve ever been. I’m currently 5’3 and 250 lbs. I know that’s obese, trust me I feel it everyday already. Since I was a teen my body usually stayed within the 170-180 range and never went higher than that until I hit my highest weight at the time in 2016 which was 216.
I quickly managed to bring myself back down to 170 over the course of three months. This was from November 2016 to Jan/Feb 2017. Then a month or so later I reached my lowest weight of 160. But around that time is also when I got into a relationship and over the course of two and a half years I managed to pile all of the weight back on and then some. My goal is to lose about 100 lbs right now which would put me in the 150 range.
I can get myself there no problem because now I am serious about applying myself. The only question for others who have gone through major weight loss as well is about loose skin. I know 100 lbs is a big loss and it’ll definitely change my body but I was wondering if anyone had any tips on minimizing it. Like will I have less loose skin if I work out while I lose weight instead of just diet or will that not matter? Is it just a lost cause at this point?
I don’t think I’ll have enough to where I’ll need skin removal surgery cuz when I lost weight before the only really big problem area was my arms but they literally just got smaller along with the rest of my body. There wasn’t any extra skin.
