Hey all.
When I was in college, I gained a good 40 lbs and never really got them off. Likewise, I've been dealing with issues (Never been diagnosed, but my friends say it sounds like depression) for close to 10 years and I'd like to shake myself out of my funk, or at the very least do as much as I can to better myself.
I listed five things I wanted to do in three months, and one of those things is lose 30lbs. I've never really set goals before so I'm not sure if this is in the ballpark of healthy or not, but what I do know is that cutting out the 2L of Mtn Dew I drink daily is good for at least 10 of those lbs, so I figured it was more akin to 20lbs to lose. I've also got a newfound appreciation for vegetables since I stopped eating them Steamed, Steamed, Steamed and only Steamed.
The problem is, as the title states, a bunch of websites I'm looking at are saying to eat Chicken (That's fine), Nuts (That's a problem), and Yogurt (Blegh) as my primary weight loss foods among others. I'm allergic to nuts, not deathly (I can still eat them, it's just.... painful) and I detest Yogurt to it's core. What can I replace them with? I'm in the biggest city in my state and have access to an Asian market and a Middle Eastern market as well, if that helps narrow down a replacement.
I'm not too big on actually losing the 30lbs if that much in three months is unhealthy, it was a goal and I want to meet it.
