I passed a huge milestone in my weight loss journey yesterday, I have now lost 100 lbs since last February. My first post here was from March 11th, and since then I have come back here frequently for advice, inspiration, and perspective. I just want to say thank you to everyone here who contributes. I am not done with my weight loss yet, I still want to lose at least 80 more and I am lifting weights and doing serious cardio exercise for the first time in 10 years. I was close to giving up on ever being happy with my body and I was really depressed, but things are looking so much better now. I like what I see when I look in the mirror. I take pictures of myself, on purpose, and share them with other people. I re-activated my OK cupid profile and put up all new pictures, and suddenly I actually am getting matches. It feels great. I started off by just walking 1 mile per day and eating at an 800 calorie deficit, but after a while I got much better at choosing the right foods to feel full without eating a ton of calories and I have been losing about 2 lbs per week since last Spring. Anyhow, I just wanted to thank everyone and let people who are just starting know that it is definitely possible.
