I just want to double-check here that I know what I'm doing to lose weight. I'll just lay this all down into simple bullet points:
- I am a 5"5 woman who weighs 174lb.
- My TDEE says that I will stay the same weight if I eat 1842 calories a day.
1lb = 3500
- So, if I want to lose 1lb a week, this means I have to cut 500 calories every day.
- This means that I can EITHER: eat 1592 calories and burn 250 calories through exercise each day.
- OR I can eat 1342 calories each day to successfully lose 1lb a week
2lb = 7000 calories
- If I want to lose 2lb a week, this means I have to cut 1000 calories every day.
- This means I can EITHER: eat 1342 calories and burn 500 calories through exercise every day
- OR I can eat 842 calories everyday to successfully lose 2lb a week (BUT I won't do this 842 calorie one because that's too extreme - I will do the bullet point above though).
Do I have the right idea for my weight loss regime? I aim to switch between losing 1lb and 2lb each week.
Thanks!
