My weight loss journey started in 2011, and it's been a TOTAL roller coaster. Just a small note however, in 2011 I was obese and not physically active. My lean body mass was very low- i'm extremely active and fit now so it's not as bad as it looks, a reasonable amount of yoyo regain is lean mass:
I need your help. This is going to be a short post. I'd love to share my life story, and all the lessons i've learned, but maybe I should wait and do that when i've actually accomplished my goal.
I want your help with getting some ideas on how I can lock in the success i've made, and when I finish the diet I am on right now- convert this into the greatest weight maintenance success story ever rather than an epic case of yo-yo dieting and regaining lost weight.
I've already beat my binge eating problem- i've become an incredible athlete- i've conquered a crazy stressful maniacal startup career- now I just need to finish dieting and maintain my weight. Let me see what I can give for back story right now- I started at 198 pounds, wasn't fit, wasn't active. Found 4 hour body, lost a bunch of weight, regained it. Lost a bunch of weight, regained it. Found stronglifts, got strong, lost a bunch of weight, regained it. Got engaged, lost a bunch of weight, got married, honeymooned, regained it. Found a new life, lost a bunch of weight, found trail running, kept most of the weight off. I'm now a long distance runner training for my first ultra marathon, and have completed my first marathon. I continue to do lots of weight training- and have basically entirely eradicated my binge eating disorder that led to my obesity. I'm ready to finish this last cut and get to my goal and stay there forever.
What ideas do you have? What questions do you have? I am desperate to succeed. I am turning 30 next year and my biggest goal to accomplish before I turn 30 is to maintain 165 pounds.
Edit: wanted to add a bit more color:
I plan to run ultra marathons as long a I can in life- it's the greatest passion i've found in life in my 29 years. I need to lose this last 15 pounds for running efficiency and speed.
Also, I'm turning 30 soon and i've been structuring my life around a complete turnaround by 30 since I was around 28. So far i've accomplished many milestones from learning to trail run, completing my first mountain race, completing my first marathon, and learning to train injury free. The last few goals before 30 are to run an ultra marathon, maintain 165 pounds, and to complete a muscle up and 5 hand stand pushups.
I started at 198, am currently 179m and the lowest i've ever been was 165.
