Hey everyone! My name is Justine Traver. My height is 5'5. Here is my transformation. https://imgur.com/a/TneNJ0U
I have lost 82 lbs (37 kg) in 8 months with a proper diet and exercise program.
I started working 3 years ago and gained around 39 lbs in these years. Unhealthy diet, incomplete sleep, improper body postures, and lack of any physical exercise due to desk job resulted in a lethargic and lazy routine.
Was so tired and obsessed after being overweight. Always wants to make some changes in my life. I also want to live a healthier life.
So I decided to start doing HIIT training with a proper diet. Here are the tips that helped my weight loss.
Diet:
Avoid:
- processed foods,
- sugar-laden foods,
- white bread and pasta (substitute whole-grain varieties instead),
- foods with a high percentage of calories from fat, such as many fast foods,
- Alcohol.
Don't go hungry. Make sure not to skip meals, and always have some healthy low-fat snacks on hand. When you starve yourself, you are more likely to overeat and make bad food choices. Try to eat healthy, regular meals.
Study the Internet or your cookbook collection- I usually study and identify the best low-fat recipes from the internet that helped me a lot in weight loss.
Don't blame yourself if you aren't perfect. After being overweight I always loved myself and never felt that I am not perfect. If you once fail at your attempt to curtail your overeating, it doesn't mean you are a failure at weight control and that you should just give up. Accept that you made a poor choice, but don't let that poor choice influence the rest of your meal plan. The same holds with exercise. Skipping a few workouts doesn't mean you can't get back on track. Weight control does not involve making perfect choices all the time; rather it's about attempting to make good health choices more often than poor ones.
Workout:
I changed my workout routine from normal to HIIT workout (High-intensity Interval Training) which helped me losing weight effectively.
Warm-Up: 10 minutes
Intervals: 25 minutes
Rest: 10 minutes
Total Workout Time: 45 minutes
However, the two most common forms are high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and sprint interval training, such as running, jogging, speed walking, and cycling.
Along with that, I was also following a workout program that helped me burn more fat. I try and burn now between 500-1000 calories a workout.
Determination:
- Dinner should be light so that it’s easy to digest because your metabolism is slowest during the night.
- Consistency is the key. Whatever plan you come up with, it’s important to follow it through till you reach your goal.
- In addition to a diet plan, you also need to include physical activity in your routine to increase your calorie output. In my case, I make sure to walk for at least 30 minutes every day.
I want to stay as fit and healthy as I am today. I also want to change people’s perception of diet food. We need to understand that diet food can be tasty and healthy at the same time. I also see myself creating healthy versions of different delicious cuisines and motivating others in their weight loss journey.
