Hey everyone. To begin, I have been trying to lose weight for the past 4 years. I went away for university and did not initially gain the infamous freshman 15. However, by second year my bad eating habits caught up to me. I started university at age 18 and weighed around 175-180. I have since gained 100lbs over the past 6 years. I have tried a lot of different things that somewhat worked and then failed and inevitably gained back the weight and then some.
I decided to stop trying to do this on my own and I hired a dietician to help me get my life together after I hit my highest weight at 281. I am not looking for any fad diets or things that won't last. I want a complete lifestyle change. I have been working with her for 2 weeks now and I just by eating clean and cutting my portion sizes down I have managed to lose 12lbs. I want to keep up this momentum without falling off like I have in the past. I do not want to do anything extreme that I cannot maintain.
I was wondering if anyone has seen a steady drop of weight by eating clean and picking up something such as; bike riding as a form of exercise? Due to covid the gyms are constantly opening and closing and I do not want to invest in a membership right now.
Besides that question, I wanted this post to be my accountability post. I want to come back in 6 months and hopefully be down half of what I intend to lose. I want to remember the way I was feeling when I typed this and come back in September healthier than I am today. I am excited about starting this journey into becoming a healthier me!
Thank you in advance! :)
