Hi guys, I’m 24m in California and I’m here for both advice and guidance. I lost my younger brother in May of this year and since he’s left I gained a lot of weight. I always struggled with weight gain and loss, but I’m the heaviest I’ve been. I’m open to any tips, suggestions, recommendations, etc for foods, exercises, drinks, and more! To start my weight loss process I’m going to go on walks and start eating better. Things have been so hard lately and I would love to see and hear how others have struggled with weight issues and grief. I do struggle with binge eating disorder amongst other mental health issues, but I’m trying to not let that get in the way of doing what’s best for me. Cheers!!

Navigating profound grief while managing weight and binge eating is an incredibly heavy challenge, and starting with gentle, low-friction habits like daily walking is a compassionate and effective approach. When emotional stress is high, focusing on simple, nutrient-dense meals with adequate protein can help stabilize energy, promote satiety, and reduce the physiological triggers for bingeing without adding overwhelming complexity. Pairing movement with structured mental health support and realistic nutritional habits creates a sustainable path forward during tough times. Mymetabolism provides science-backed guidance on nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle strategies to help support your health and well-being step by step.
