Hi everyone! I had an eye opening moment at the doctor’s office. I gained a lot of weight since I went last. I’m a 5’7” female, and have always been in the 125-130 weight range. I don’t keep a scale at home, because I used to get a little too obsessive about weight.
Last week, I went to the doctor’s office, and I knew I had gained some weight. I don’t feel healthy, and I know I need to work out more and cut back on the amount that I’m eating. However, I was NOT expecting to be 145 lbs. I was also not expecting my doctor to mention my weight gain to me.
Honestly, it sent me in a little spiral of sadness. I’ve never had to actually lose weight before, and I don’t even really know where to start. I used to just have good eating habits, but I feel like an injury & a long term relationship (though he is the best in many ways, he doesn’t like to exercise) have changed my habits for the worse.
Do you guys have any tips for re-forming my healthier habits, and losing around 10-15 lbs? What is a reasonable time frame for losing this weight?
