So I’ve started last weekend to hit a goal of having a healthy BMI for my height (5’7)

I currently weigh 260 pounds and have a problem with smoking for the past year. Combine that with overeating on junk food has caused me to have bad breathing problems. As of Saturday, I started to going back to the gym for at least an hour, eating less red meats (I also have issues with gout) while also just eating less as a start. Oh and I notice as of now I don’t have that craving to go to the store and get a pack so I must be doing something right.

Also I don’t actually drink badly fortunately because I just crave water and nothing else and even being overweight, I can’t stand drinking soda anymore.

I remember three years ago I had this same willpower and I managed to get down to 209 (funny enough starting at 260 as well) as the lowest I’ve ever hit in a long time before I started getting lazy in the past year and a half and now back to where I currently am.

What resonated with me when looking at the BMI chart was how far I am from being healthy on the BMI chart. When I saw that I was considered “extremely obese” I decided that I don’t want to continue this new decade of being obese. I want to look healthier for myself and people. I honestly don’t look flattering at all in any of my pictures that I’ve posted

I’m curious for anyone who had major weight loss if you guys had major life changes of how people perceive you?
