Hello all,
I'm a little embarrassed admitting my weight to strangers online, but this is very important to me.
I need to lose weight to get my BMI down to 40 from where it's at, which I believe is around 53, as I would like to begin taking testosterone this year in order to transition. The doctor I visited was very supportive, and gave me the motivation to begin. For clarity's sake - I was born female.
Starting this week, I have begun limiting myself to 1500 calories a day, eating more fruit, and eating 'slimming world' meals. I work full time, typically leaving around 7:30am and coming home at 17:30pm, and struggle to see how fitting exercise into my routine would work, and still give me enough free time to be content with my life. At the most, I walk my dog for 10 - 20 minutes in the evenings.
I would like to lose enough weight to begin testosterone by the end of the year, and tentative google searches have shown me that this may be possible, but with exercise regimes that I may not be able to commit to.
Has anyone had any previous experience in a situation like mine? How would you go about improving this? I would be willing to extend my walking periods, but I worry for my dog's joints if I take her with me (she's a St. Bernard, 11 months, and this time is important for her joints not to be overworked).
Thank you in advance, apologies for the disjointed post.
