I’m a 22f 5ft4, and years ago I went from 150lbs to 120 in about 4 months, and am now (almost) attempting to redo this since Covid led to some pretty rapid weight gain and so now SW: 145, CW: 138.
I normally aim for around 1200-1400 calories a day and I do lots of walking (at least 10k a day) and exercise here and there when I feel like it. First time I lost weight I did way more exercise but Covid has taken away my favourite exercise methods (spin classes, aerial hoop, pole etc) so have been lagging a bit. Both this weight loss journey and the last I’ve noticed the weirdest thing that whenever I’ve found it particularly hard to shift a few pounds, like I’ve plateaud for a few days/weeks, if I eat a tonne suddenly in one day (say 3000 calories ish), and then back to normal the next, I’ll suddenly drop 1-2lbs and then will continue to consistently lose weight for the next few weeks like before?
Has anyone else found that eating an absolutely mammoth meal helps shift plateaus or is that just me going mad?
What is going on, is this like my metabolism revving up again and getting in gear suddenly?
