Getting back on the wagon after four years of slacking.

Hi. I'm on break from work so I don't have a lot of time to write out my story, but I thought I'd drop by.

In 2015 I decided to lose weight - I was 200 lbs and very unhappy with myself. So I decided to do OMAD combined with cardio exercise. After a year, my efforts paid off. I lost 50 lbs. Then, I experienced multiple tragedies in my life and just completely fell off the wagon. Stopped going to the gym. Starting eating an extra meal here and there. I also went on anti-depressants which made me a bit impulsive (though helped my depression tremendously) so my weight went up.

Fast forward to November 2020. I had gained all the weight I previously lost. I was also eating at restaurants almost every day, and it was draining my wallet so I decided to start cooking meals at home.

Cut to last week. I stepped on the scale - and I was shocked at the fact that I had lost 10 lbs just by cooking my own meals! It was then that I decided that I'd use this opportunity to get back on the weight loss wagon and start getting healthy again. I can't go to the gym right now (I have chronic kidney disease and my COVID risk is high, I've also been having difficulty signing up to get the vaccine) and I work from home, so I purchased one of those ellipticals that go under the desk and I've been using it somewhat intensely while I work. It's too early to tell if it's helping any obviously, but I figured an extra boost to my activity wouldn't hurt.

I gotta get back to work. Here's to dropping more pounds! I'm looking forward to losing that weight again.
