CW: mention of eating disorders
Sorry haha, I know posts about loose skin are really common, but I’m just concerned.
For context, I’m 5 ft tall and 20 years old. I started at 182 lbs and I’m down to about 150 lbs in 8 months. Most of this has been through diet changes, walking, and twice-daily yoga.
I had a restrictive eating disorder for a long time, but one of my major motivations for recovery was the fact that I would have loose skin, so I have been trying to lose weight in a healthier way and treat my body normally as well as recover mentally.
I feel like my weight loss hasn’t been too drastic, but I’m already seeing loose skin (especially on my thighs and chest). Is this normal? Is there something I’m doing wrong? I know people say the younger you are, the most likely it is that your skin will bounce back. However, I’m just really concerned because I have been at a high weight for such a long time.
