Psychotherapist who is very uncomfortable at night needs help to maximize her chance of success

Stats:

Started CICO 3/2; I log onto MFP

46 yr old female 5’11”

SW: 220 CW: 215 GW: 170 Sedentary Daily calorie intake: 1390

Despite apparently nourishing myself adequately throughout the day and evening, I am finding that I am ravenous at night (just before bedtime).

I strongly suspect that my experience (anxiety, sometimes slight headache, feelings of emptiness) is psychosomatic. I am a psychotherapist who sometimes “empties” herself for clients. I’ve set a long term goal to “fill” myself in different ways than with food.

But in the short-term, I need some help. I am also open to the idea of tweaking my calorie intake, or timing of meals, or whatever, to maximize my success. Feeling shitty at night is depleting my reserves. I worry about petering out. I am not averse to very slow weight loss, as I wish to make a permanent lifestyle change.

I typically have about 80 calories to spare at the end of the day.

Ideas? Thanks so much. I am super impressed by this community.
