So, as per usual, I lost a good amount of weight during my first 2 weeks - about 10lbs. I have to lose nearly half my body weight. Then the weight loss stopped for a few days. But over the last 7 days I have put on 3lbs. I am pretty precise with my intake (but I scoop my whey powder rather than weigh it, don't always weigh a prepackaged can of beans etc). I reckon I should be on a 1400 deficit. This ALWAYS happens at this stage. And before now I have always given up at this stage because I am so frustrated.
So, yes, my weight is up. And yes I am certain I am eating at a significant deficit. I know I can't be putting on fat or muscle so it must be some kind of water thing. I now need the backbone to ride it out.
I would love to hear your experiences about early plateaus. Your story will help me not do what I've done a hundred times before and go back to square one.
